The hotel is very conveniently located and the room is perfect for an overnight stay. The cleaning staff and overnight staff were very friendly and helpful. But, the lady in the front desk in the morning rolled her eyes when I paid in cash for the tax and again when I asked to repeat the room number. I seriously felt like I was wasting her time even though I was the only one checking in at the time.

I stay at Ibis hotels whenever I am able -- the staff is generally helpful and friendly, the rooms are always clean, comfortable (especially the bedding), and the entire experience is smooth and reliable. The welcome was pleasant. I spoke in French but with my English accent, the concierge changed to English to help me. When I continued to reply in French he switched back to French recognising that I could understand which I gratefully accepted as a sign of respect. Thank you.

This huge Ibis is rather soulless and impersonal. The only time we interacted with the Reception staff was when we were checking in, and even then they got the change to my booking wrong. The shower pressure was fabulous, but I failed to notice the cabin doors did not seal properly on the shower itself and I flooded the bathroom. Also, I did miss a coffee and tea making facility in the room, which I would describe as adequate but rather sparse. The bath towels were very thin and small, and there were no hand towels in the bathroom at all. Anyone slightly overweight would not fit into the shower cabin either, and the bathroom was unheated.

The check-in line was long and the lobby bathroom was locked with no access until you had checked in. That is an outrageous way to greet your guests. I have lived in France for years. They are stingy with water. It is a national flaw, but now it is an ACCORD FLAW.

Upon arriving at 'my' single room and using the key card to enter I was startled to discover someone was already in the room. I went back down to the reception desk and was waiting in line to get a new room. The representative at the desk served the person at the counter when I arrived, then caught my eye and asked if there was a problem. He helped me before the other customers in line in front of me, he apologized, gave me a new room, and I think he upgraded me to a double room. Having worked in service operations for over 40 years that is what I would want my staff to do.

Hotel comfortable, room OK for the price, breakfast bar is good. Heating in room was efficient and flexible in cold temperatures. My problem this visit was I needed to use left luggage. They have a room with compartments which you pay in advance. The marking is not clear unless you have guidance. One side there are the boxes paid by credit card and a machine for that, the other side is a wall of boxes which you pay for by cash at another machine. You need to choose the right box for cash or card payment. When you shut the door it takes minutes for the system to work and you can pay so you have to be patient. Same with retrieval. Scan the ticket code and nothing seems to happen, then two minutes later the door goes click and opens. It costs €8 or 12 depending on luggage size. A rather frustrating experience for someone who uses such a service rarely (most hotels including Accor simply have a safe room and give you a ticket).

I have stayed with IBIS CDG several times for work and have used the conference facilities for meetings. It is not glamorous but convenient. I arrived on 18.11.2019 at 11:15 and asked at the desk if they could store my luggage until check-in at 12pm. They sent me to a room of lockers where I could rent a locker for 10,50 EUR. This is not a train station, but a hotel which I am paying 129 EUR for., and charging me to keep my bag while I make a few calls and have a coffee is in my understanding of the hotel experience, a basic right of a guest. This removal of service does not breed loyalty. I felt very disrespected and angry. I realize you are positioned as a budget hotel but this behaviour is downright cheap. I was very tempted to blast you via social media, because you quite frankly deserved it, but I don't want to tarnish my own reputation with negative posts. In this day and age, of "guest experience" and "loyalty", I really ask myself how your management can make such a reckless decision. As a postscript, the fact that the restrooms are not available for guests that have not yet checked in and are only accessible per card is also an atrocious policy. I understand you are at a train station and you are trying to discourage use of your facilities by non-guests, but the policy for real guests should be is to give them a temporary card that lets them access basic amenities like a toilet and a place to wash hands, change clothes, store luggage.
