I stayed at the IBIS Paris CDG Airport hotel for one night wanting a solid rest and a stress-free morning before a very long flight, and I wasn't disappointed. The room was small but clean, comfortable and well appointed. The bed was particularly comfy and I woke up without my usual stiff back, which is a rare enough occasion that it deserves a mention. For a hotel of that size and in such a noisy precinct at the heart of the airport, the room was surprisingly quiet. The bathroom was tiny but optimised and got the job done. Possibly too small for significantly larger/taller people though. Online check-in is highly recommended or be prepared to queue for close to an hour if you arrive at a busy time! Breakfast runs from 5am to 10am, is of good quality and has plenty of options - savoury, sweet and anything in between. One small thing to improve: I would have loved a kettle in the room, to make myself a cuppa before bed and upon waking up.

When we arrived at the hotel, the check in line was ridiculously long. We had already checked in on the app and just needed our room key. Our kids were tired and hungry and the security guard wouldn’t let us use the bathroom until we had our key. The person at the front desk said the lineup is always this long. Totally unacceptable, and we will not be using the ACCOR group anymore. To make matters worse, the light in our bathroom flickered the entire time.
