A solid hotel directly connected to the RER and CDGVAL lines without having to step outside.

I stayed at the Novotel Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport twice during my most recent trip to Europe: two nights at the end of 2025 and one additional night in early 2026 before flying home. Overall, it’s a solid and practical airport hotel with clear strengths. But it also has a few notable limitations. The hotel’s biggest advantage is its location and connectivity. It is directly connected to Roissypole, providing immediate access to the RER B into Paris and the CDGVAL shuttle to other terminals. For travelers arriving late, departing early, or splitting time between the city and the airport, this convenience is extremely valuable. During my first stay, I agreed to move into a family room in exchange for complimentary early check-in thanks to my Platinum status with Accor Live Limitless. Since I was not traveling with children, the sofa bed simply functioned as a sofa and worked well. The bed itself was comfortable, and the room was quiet—exactly what you want from an airport hotel. The room décor is fairly plain, and the TV is on the smaller side, but there is a spare HDMI port, which makes it easy to connect a game console or other media device. For my second stay, I was upgraded to an executive room on the top floor. The layout is very similar to the family room, but without the sofa bed function and with more open space to organize luggage. That additional space made repacking before an international flight noticeably easier. Comfort and quiet were again strong points. I had two dinners at Luiza, the hotel restaurant, during my first stay to close out the 2025 calendar year. For an airport hotel restaurant, the food quality was better than expected and made it a convenient option when staying on-site. Since restaurants in central Paris would have been completely slammed on New Year’s Eve 2025 into Jan 1, 2026, the hotel restaurant, whether here or at other locations was effectively the only decent dining option and their prix fixe menu didn’t disappoint. I remember having a salmon appetizer, veal for a main course and a buche de Noel which exceeded my expectations, along with some champagne. Breakfast is generally good, but not without drawbacks. The meat selection is solid, with options such as smoked salmon, turkey cold cuts, and hot pork sausages and bacon. However, there are no non-pork hot meat options, which is a drawback for non-vegetarians who avoid pork for religious or dietary reasons. Egg preparation is also unusual—unless you want scrambled eggs, guests are expected to cook or boil their own eggs. This is not something many travelers want to do, especially before an early flight. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful, though the reception area feels too small for a hotel of this size and can become crowded at busy times. The overall atmosphere is functional rather than warm, and I do not recall a fitness center on-site. In summary, the Novotel CDG is a dependable, no-frills airport hotel that excels in location, quiet rooms, and practicality. While it lacks certain amenities and polish, it is a reliable choice if your priority is easy airport access and a comfortable night’s sleep before or after a flight.

Room 431: The shower water mixer was broken and delivered only lukewarm water. The two USB plugs on the bedsides were broken. One glass in the bathroom was cracked. There was only decaffeinated coffee. Very poor amenities overall.

I would've rated this much higher. Unfortunately, I haven't had a second of sleep and they checked me in 40mins after the official check in period. Aside from that, everything was as expected.

Facility was well located, and a short walk to both the train station and terminal 1/3. Rooms were clean and tidy. Some additional comments are as noted below. 1) To access bathrooms downstairs near the restaurant and bar, one needs a key (tricky when you have handed in your keys); and 1a) the bar downstairs was often not staffed adequately. 2) My son and I were sharing a room with two single beds for three nights; 2a) beds were okay, albeit slightly larger singles and better pillows would have been appreciated; 2b) more coat hangers would have been appreciated; 2c) a toilet brush in the toilet would have been appreciated; and 2d) towel rails not sufficient for two people (drying space). 3) We requested a late check out on the second day (@ the reception), somehow this did not make it into the system and we had a subsequent call on the last day asking why we had not checked out. Overall a reasonable experience, but not sufficiently good enough to make this the hotel of choice for the airport.
