The shuttle pick up is now on the 5th floor of the TGV station at CDG airport. It's difficult to find. Worst of all, upon reaching the platform, we were rudely intercepted by a thug demanding payment for the shuttle ride. He had a green colored ibis vest and demanded €7 per passenger so we can get into the Mercure branded minivan. He blocked our attempts to speak with the driver and leaned against the door so we cannot go inside the van. Upon calling the hotel front desk, the staff asked to talk to the thug. I find it unprofessional that I have to hand over my personal phone so they can converse. They could have used their own devices to talk to each other!!! Also, I did not feel comfortable handing over money to a third party holding the shuttle van ride as ransom. Please do not advertise airport shuttle services. Supplimental airport shuttle transportation fees should be disclosed upfront. All Accor properties in Germany and Asia have full disclosure on surcharged amenities. I would expect consistency among all branded properties. This was poorly handled. The staff did not even try to correct nor acknowledge the mishaps during check-in. The lower brands like ibis, Styles and Novotel around the world are better than this Mercure property.

Checked in, didn’t recognise my status. Only gave me an upgrade once I asked. Welcome drink was a beer, tasted gross. Beer taps need cleaning. No water in rooms, tap in the lobby you need to use but there are no clean water jugs to use. Stayed here because there is an airport shuttle but they don’t tell you it’s paid until check in. Plenty of other hotels around which offer better value, don’t both staying here.

The hotel is ok, the staff is really helpful. Low points are, because there are 2 Mercure hotels with a very similar names, I and a couple of others ended up at the wrong hotel which is located near terminal 1 20 minutes drives away. The shuttle to the terminal isn't free anymore, 7€, a bit disappointing it's not includes in the hotel's fees
