Clean room with everything required for my stay. Only issue was the smell from the drains - this was resolved by getting the windows unlocked. Once they were open, they stayed open for the duration of the visit and all was well.

Ce type de situation peut parfois survenir ponctuellement, et nous sommes heureux que l’aération ait permis d’y remédier rapidement. The hotel is quite modern but is well located in the heart of the old town, a minute's walk to the cathedral. Our room was rather dark but was quite spacious and comfortable, with a good-sized ensuite shower room. Staff were courteous and respectful.

Much about this hotel is good. Everything was clean and comfortable, especially in the public areas. The supply of fresh water and bottles/glasses in the foyer was a nice touch. All of the staff we encountered were pleasant, professional and helpful. Our room, whilst clean and spacious, was very tired, with chipped walls and a distinctly musty smell, especially in the shower room. The windows do not open, so you cannot air the room and the AC seemed to be centrally controlled, so did not respond when we attempted to get some air circulating. The furnishing choices were unusual, with a table on wheels functioning as one of the bedside tables and a table to use with the chair in one corner? The light from the fridge glowed all night through the tall cupboard it was housed in. The whole room had an institutional feel. Again, the shower room was in need of an upgrade, with things like the shaving mirror held together with medical tape, the rusty old bin that looked like it was missing its lid and the tired flooring giving a poor impression. It smelled like standing water some of the time and was musty all of the time. On the last morning I felt quite overwhelmed by a very strong sulphuric smell in the bathroom and reported this to the reception. We enjoyed our stay in Rouen and the location was perfect for us but I think this particular hotel would need a bit of attention shown to the rooms before I would stay again.

Excellent central location, very good allergy-friendly breakfast, and attentive staff who quickly resolved minor issues. Parking is available but tight for larger cars. Although we were given a less desirable room despite booking early, it was still comfortable and suited our needs.
