I am planning to follow up with a further communication but for now these are comments after our stay. Firstly your staff are excellent, as is the general quality of the hotel. The breakfast is outstanding. The hotel’s location is perfect. However we have one huge plea! Please please please put proper storage in the Privilege accessible room 401. For disabled people it really is a problem at present - no shelves or storage, no proper towel rails, a plastic rail that doesn’t unfold to hold on to. In short it has not been thought through for hat real people bring with them and need. Storage was on the floor for us!!! We intend to come regularly and are on the brink of looking for another accessible good quality hotel but if these issues can be dealt with, we would like to return to the Mercure. Finally there is no long hanging space for companions and anyway there were no hangers in the wardrobe - we had to request some and were provided with unpleasant metal ones.
