Very nice hotel with perfect location (close to everything). The room was very nice, spacious and clean with big comfy bad. The staff was excellent and very helpfull. The only fault was that I did not get a "Welcome gift" which I am entitled to as gold status member of Accor Loyalty program

Found the staff very friendly and helpful, spacious room and very clean. Secure parking very convenient although some of the reserved hotel parking was being used for storage.

I cannot fault the steps that this hotel has taken to try to protect the staff and customers. However, I do wish to pass on some comments regarding my stay. I booked a room for two persons with breakfast. It was explained that breakfast would be on a prepared tray and could be taken in the room or in the lobby area. Given that the room only had one chair and two very small occasional tables, breakfast in the room would have been difficult. We arrived in the lobby at 6:30am and were (surprisingly) directed to the restaurant. On entering it we were asked to leave by the member of staff who was preparing the breakfast trays. She had to call the receptionist to tell her that we must go to the bar area. Breakfast was brought to us on two separate trays and consisted of everything on the menu. It was far too much and included many things that neither of us would eat. If we had been given a proper choice we could have selected only the items that we wanted and this would have greatly reduced the waste of good food! We stayed the following night in Mercure Limoges and they have organised it properly - we dictated our choices to the receptionist the on our arrival and she ticked the appropriate boxes on the breakfast menu. One other thing was - we had a drink in the bar on the evening of our arrival. We noted that the floor had been marked with a one-way system - good! However, at one point a group of six people congregated at the bar blocking the one-way system. We, and the barman resulted in going the wrong way to avoid them. There was plenty of space in that lounge so he should have asked them to move to a corner - away from the one-way system. Finally, My ALL preferences state that I wish to have a room with a bath. When I reserved this room I reiterated that choice. When I checked-in on-line I repeated my request. BUT the room I was given did not have a bath!

We give a breakfast card on arrival of customers so that they become aware of the composition of the breakfast tray where we put a lot of dishes so that the quality-quantity-price ratio is respected. You could strike out on your sheet the products that you did not wish to have, you had full rights as other customers do. I did not open our restaurant for breakfast but we opened our snack bar and our terrace to receive customers like you where it is not pleasant to eat in a room. It is true that we have implemented a whole protocol to enforce distanciations and others following this Covid-19 crisis, but we must not be too rigorous with our customers, to our great regret, following some guidelines in the group. I hope to welcome you again, I remain at your disposal do not hesitate to contact me. Please accept, dear madam, the expression of our best feelings. Bright clean room, very comfortable bed, staff going out of their way to look after guests despite the requirements of distancing and the difficulties of providing hospitality in the current circumstances. Great location, too - easy walk to the old town and super quiet, would definitely return.

I've stayed many times in the hotel and was disappointed with the renovation. the rooms don't have a closet to keep the clothes. have a very small open area next to the bed. the restaurant was really bad. Had dinner with 2 colleagues and after waiting for almost 1 hr for 3 burgers the were all cold and overcooked.

Having had a really good experience at the hotel (September 2029), when we ran a 3-day Leadership training programme, we decide to book the same hotel for our follow up programme in February 2020. It was lovely to see lots of familiar faces, warm smiles, and to be looked after thoroughly and professionally during our stay. Everyone from Reception to Restaurant/Bar, from Housekeeping to Conference management were attentive to our needs, and made sure we felt totally looked after. A huge thank you to all if the team at Mercure Rouen Champs de Mars!

We had stayed here before and remembered it as comfortable, easy to find and within easy walking distance of Rouen centre. It was exactly as we remembered and once again we enjoyed a very satisfactory stay. Dinner in the restaurant was good and the Express bar breakfast just what we wanted. Reception provided us with a map of Rouen and we found our way to the Cathedral and the Christmas Market. The only thing we dislike about the hotel is the car park. The complicated exit down all floors of the Mercure park and then up through the Ibis park is very tight in places.

A typical Mercure hotel which is currently (December 2019) being refurbished so the concomitant noise and dislocation does reduce the overall rating. I would expect the grade to be better once all the improvements have been completed. Slightly outside the city centre but within a ten minute walk. A minor word of advice is that accessing the hotel is quite difficult as it’s easy to miss the turning having driven down the hill through the tunnel. Ensure you keep to the right hand lane!

We stayed at the Hotel in Rouen after getting off the Navette in Le Havre. We had a booking at the Mercure Hotel in Honfleur. Unfortunately we missed our way in the dense fog and ended up on the A13. Pressed on to the Mercure in Rouen unannounced and received a good reception. The hotel and staff was delightful. We will go there again.

This is an ideal hotel for visiting Rouen and surrounds. The location is perfect, easy parking and the rooms are clean and nice large beds. The breakfast menu is extremely good and varied. An ideal stay.

Disappointing. Although the hotel was far from full, nu upgrade was proposed to Platinum members. In various Accor hotels you also receive a small git/chocolates as a Platinum member, but none of this in Rouen. Instead, I got a very small room which was ice-cold and very noisy... Very dissapointing and do not see the need to stay loyal to Accor if treated as a basic tourist who only uses hotel once...
