Check in experience not good as many staff members wear no identification. Breakfast quality (eg croissants) and choice is much worse than used to be the case at this hotel. Room was good but currently Mercure offers little additional quality versus the cheaper Ibis.

Good location just off the Chartres Calais road with easy access to the city. Good parking, comfortable, clean rooms, nice restaurant with tasty food and attentive, multilingual staff

Less than satisfactory as work was underway and check in was slow being shared with the Ibis at a busy time. Our room on second floor was below the dining room and we could hear scraping chairs and footsteps through ceiling.

The room looks like in was not finish. The furniture are really minimal, some plugs were not working. There was some music sound quite but all morning and night. I was excpecting a better room for a "privilege" and the price we took. The service was good, people really nice and the food good as well.

Hotel is in mid-renovation & should not be open

Hotel is in mid-renovation & should not be open. The hotel is confusing to navigate, all signage is missing, the reception is in the hotel next door with a tiny A4 sign with small writing to tell you this. When you arrive on your floor there is no signage to say which way is which room. The phones in the room do not connect to reception, I had to dial the full number in the phone from google to ring reception - for which they tried to charge me on checkout!! I range for an iron, to be told there is only 1 iron for the entire hotel & they weren't sure which room it was in. The breakfast room is next to a building site with sheeting, the breakfast is poor, everything always empty & coffee cold. This hotel should not be open to guests - absolutely shocking.
