Worst "Accor" experience ever. Sent 3 emails to the hotelF1 Roissy CDG in the days leading up to our stay to request information regarding Airport Shuttles. The hotel website states this information is available on request. We still have not received any acknowledgement or response to these emails. We asked the hotel staff at Mercure Opera Grand Boulevards (the hotel we stayed at prior to hotelF1 Roissy CDG) to assist us in contacting the hotelF1 regarding information on the shuttle bus service. The Mercure staff called the hotelF1 twice in our presence and neither call was answered. They left a voicemail message on each occasion. By the time we left the Mercure the following day they had not received a response from the hotelF1. While we are not sure whether the reason the hotelF1did not respond was due to incompetence or simply bad manners, we are certain that this failure falls well short of the standards we have come to expect from Accor properties. When we arrived at the hotelF1there were around 12-15 people standing near a desk with one woman behind the desk. We assumed that this was the reception area, something we had to confirm with other people in the area as we could see no signage. After about 30 minutes we made it to the front of the queue and asked the reception person if they had received any emails from us or calls from the Mercure. She shrugged her shoulders and asked if we had a reservation. We gave her our reservation details and asked her about airport shuttles. We also had our question in French on Google translate in case she did not speak english. She appeared not to understand our question so we showed her the text on my phone. She scowled and pointed to a sign to her right and said that is the information. She then gave us a card withbour room details and a code to get in. I have not encountered a more hostile and pathetic reception service anywhere else. We went to our room and found it to be incredibly small, without and ventilation whatsoever and no air-conditioning. There was a heater that was broken of the bracket fixing it to the wall which obstructed egress for the unlucky person that was sleeping on that side of the bed. I estimate there was less than 20 cm between the bed and this broken heater. Paris was experiencing a heatwave on the day of our stay and the room was very hot and stuffy. I went back down to reception tobask about air conditioning and ventilation. The reception person said there was no air-conditioning and offered us a small pedestal fan. I took it back to the room but there was nowhere to put it as there was no furniture in the room and only one power point. I returned again to the reception and waited for about 15 minutes while the reception person was talking to someone. I ran out of patience and picked up a stool and took it to our room. Later in the evening we returned to the reception to ask for a room change to one with some ventilation as it was so hot and stuffy we could not sleep. We were told there were no other options and that we could try opening the window. Not really an option as the window opened inward and extended over half the width of the bed. We tried to get a room at the Novotel next door but we were told they were full. We did not get any sleep that night and were very uncomfortable for the entire night. Throughout our stay the reception person was very UN-HELPFUL, and in most instances, simply rude. Can I give this hotelF1 a rating of 0? Due to the lack of sleep, I had time to check out the fire safety arrangements and found these to be seriously lacking and deficient. Signage was non-existent in our room and the minimal signage in the corridor was inadequate and confusing. The morning of our departure i did a quick poll of three other guests on the shuttle bus about fire safety and all said that (a) they did not see any information about this (b) they felt that there was inadequate information and fire safety in place at the hotel.
