I reserved in this hotel as I have seen on Concur (the booking platform) that it has a big gym, there were many photos for the gym. However the gym was not for the hotel and not included in my booking. The reciptionst asked me to pay 6€ for every access, but after escalation, they gave me the card for free. Also the parking was the city parking not specific for the hotel which was too costly as I had to pay per hour not per day. Mercure, should make an agreement with the parking management to offer access card against daily fees, regardless how many time I drive out and in per day.

We understand the confusion regarding the gym facilities. While we do not have a gym inside the hotel, we work together with the nearby Basic-Fit, the largest Basic-Fit in the Benelux. Access is included for guests staying in our Privilege Rooms and Suite. For other room types, access is available for €5.95 per visit. Regarding parking, our hotel is directly connected to the public city parking garage by elevator. We understand that paying per exit can be inconvenient, and we appreciate your feedback and will certainly take your comments into consideration. Thank you as well for your comment about adding company details during check-in. Currently this can be done during check-out, but we agree this would be a useful improvement. Lastly, besides scrambled and boiled eggs on the buffet, our breakfast team is always happy to prepare eggs or omelets to your preference upon request. We stay here a couple of times a year ti visit my brother and on this occasion, we were disappointed. The room overlooked the car park which meant we had to keep the discreet curtains closed. We asked to be moved that night, but was advised there was no room, and that this would be passed to the manager to review, but no one followed this up with us and I feel this is poor customer service.

These rooms are often appreciated for being quieter, however we completely understand that the view is less pleasant. This should have been handled more proactively, and we understand your disappointment regarding the service you experienced. Please rest assured that we will discuss this internally so that similar situations can be addressed more quickly and efficiently in the future. Good location, but tired amenities, noise from the street due to a lack of noise insulation
