The hotel is recognising the status of the customer and as a surprise applies regulations that hotel of higher categories are supposed to offer to the customers. They take contact with you to have an idea of your arrival time, unfortunately your key card is not ready yet although your arrived at the ETA you transmitted, pity thing

We are glad to hear that you appreciated the quiet surroundings and the recognition of your Gold status with a welcome card and present. Our team strives to provide a memorable experience for our valued guests. We apologize for the inconvenience you faced with your key card not being ready upon arrival and the heating issue in your room. We will look into these matters to ensure a smoother experience for future guests. What my colleague has done correctly is to ask for your ID. This is, in fact, an obligation. We do this to prevent things like wrong guests checking in or wrong rooms. It did happen in the past that a guest was left without a room because someone else indicated that they were this person. Of course, this is not nice for the guest or for us. Because payments and payment details are often linked to reservations, we double-check this with an id. Regarding the breakfast, we are constantly working on improving our offerings and will take your feedback into consideration. We understand that the speed of the internet connection was not up to your expectations, and we are working on enhancing our WiFi services for a better guest experience. Good staff, friendly and helpful. The cleaning could be better in terms of changing the bed sheets and used cups of tea.

My stay at the Ibis, was outstanding! The staff was one of the very best, I’ve encountered over my years of travel. Coming from the US, the staff was very nice and friendly! I came to Tilburg to get my daughter settled into an apartment, so she could attend Tilburg University. Not fully knowing the hard issues of finding accommodations, the staff provided much information to us. When I return to Tilburg, I will definitely stay at the Ibis, because all the staff were nice, friendly and welcomed us with open arms!
