The room smelled due to a sewer problem. That was a pitty.

I arrived very late (23:15) and checked in. I was allocated Room 302. I went up there and immediately upon opening the door had to step back at the smell of tobacco. I most certainly did not want a smoking room: indeed I would have thought it was probably banned. I came back down, hoping I'd be allocated a new room straight away. But I was only allocated a new room after one of the staff had gone upstairs to - I assume - check that I wasn't making this up. After this, all was well. My new room (235) was clean and fresh, the bed was comfortable and the shower was warm. The breakfast the next day was super with lots of choices. And all the staff were friendly - even those when I arrived, despite their wish to check out 302!
