We've stayed at this hotel several times before en route between homes in Italy and the UK. A couple of years ago it had grown very shabby and staff were clearly demotivated, so we weren't expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised though - the hotel has undergone some refurbishment and looked much cleaner and more inviting. The room was clean and the large shower very welcome (although the plug hole was blocked, so the bathroom flooded). Staff were also very pleasant and helpful. It was a bit weird to see a huge punchbag between reception and the bar, but to each their own... The only disadvantage really is that the restaurant doesn't operate now. But we found a nice Bistro across by the new movie complex: "Au Bureau". Fairly standard food, mostly burgers, and very expensive wine, but good service and only a five minute walk from the hotel. This hotel is good for travellers, being right on the motorway, and good for travellers with dogs, as they have no restrictions on numbers or size. So we'll no doubt be back.

We found the hotel very comfortable and the staff extremely helpful. The hotel is located in an extremely good site. Our thanks to the team at the hotel and we have stayed at this hotel a number of times.

Dear PIERRE M., Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the ibis Archamps Porte de Genève. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. We are a little surprised because at the check-in we inform that because of the Covid19 the maids cannot go home to make the rooms but on the other hand if you need clean linen just ask for it at the reception. Regarding your payment, we have indeed pre-authorized your credit card to check if it was valid.But you paid on Friday morning when you left and not on the 1st day. For the soap, as indicated at check-in, we had to remove the collective soaps not compatible with the covid19 and put in place individual shower products at will We hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Everything went as good as expected, I had no issue with our late check-in and the room was extremely clean. An extremely professional and welcoming reception team, as well as very nice cleaning team.

The hotel is clean. The people are kind and all respect the rules but sleep here with no air conditioning, the highway to Chamonix just near and worst...mosquitoes from a little pond. Another difficulty was the missing sheets. You just have sheets covering the Nordic blanket...too hot to protect from mosquitoes(not detachable). In a normal situation all is perfect here but my 2 nights this week we’re really difficult!

Typical Ibis stay. Staff extremely friendly. Bed comfortable, internet good, room clean and quiet, and TV good. As with every Ibis, the duvet cover has to be removed from the blanket as it is too warm for sleeping. The location of this Ibis is very appealing with easy access into Geneva.

I liked the welcoming, the easy light switches (sometimes a headache in hotels), the overall interior design both In rooms and public areas. I disliked the dirty and slow lift. The too basic breakfast buffet and the mattress that moved and was impossible to adjust back therefore the pillows were falling in the created gap and I didn’t sleep that well. Price was fair making the satisfaction level fine.
