We used the hotel as a base to visit the nearby beaches etc prior to D Day. It is a brilliant location and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Of our 3 night stay, I have no complaints about the first 2 nights. However, the third night the air conditioning in our room stopped working. I spoke with the front desk 3 times about this issue. No one offered any help - there was no information as to what went wrong, no offer to move rooms, no offer of a fan. Instead we had to sleep with the windows open during a heat wave, and awoke to bug flying around our room due to a lack of screens over the windows. I complained to the front desk the next morning at checkout and the staff did not seem to care.

Had a great stay at the Novatel Bayeux. Rooms were very comfortable, plenty of free parking, and they offered an excellent breakfast to start the day. Highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling the d-day sites.
