The hotel was in a nice location but the conditions of the rooms were not good - dirty and very used. The staff also did nothing to recognize Accor Diamond Status - no upgraded room or even communication about breakfast being included. The jacuzzi outside was not warm so it was hard to enjoy it.

This is not the experience we aim to offer our loyal guests, and we regret the lack of communication regarding benefits such as breakfast and the absence of an upgrade where possible. We are also sorry to hear that the outdoor jacuzzi was not warm enough to be fully enjoyed. This is certainly disappointing, and we understand how this affected your overall experience. The steak and chips were perfect on the first night but overcooked steak and cold chips on second night. Nobody checked in on us until after the meal and were too busy due to large party of people. They did give free desert once we got to talk to them but evening ruined, no one wants well done steak and cold chips. The staff in restaurant were very noisy at breakfast on the second morning, even though it was only 845am. Restocking cups, glasses and setting up mobile tables/chairs in a very noisy, distracting way presumably because there was only a few people in. The breakfast bar was virtually empty, scraping of youghurt, cold bacon etc even though breakfast finishes at 1030am.

The hotel is located on beautiful site, well manicured and lush. You can't fault the food for variety and taste. A few downsides - my room had a very odd odour that was most pronounced when entering the room, towels were not replaced one day during my stay and the bar prices I found high.

From our booking experience with Penelope to being greeted by Penelope and all the staff, our stay has been nothing short of amazing. Our rooms looked over the pool. They were clean with comfortable beds. The reception desk also helped us with a running route and restaurant recommendations. Our breakfast there was outstanding with fresh pancakes and incredible butter from the region to put on the amazing selection of breads. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.
