We had travelled by train that day from Florence and needed some rest before we travelled on and we found our room excellent

20 minute walk from the centre

I would have liked a bit nearer the centre but we needed the swimming pool for my grandson. Basic 3 star hotel . Very expensive for food and drinks, small bottle of water €4.80 ??? Supposed to get water left in the room every day but some day it was missing and I had to phone to get it ? Restaurants in the square were amazing and plenty of choice. Sofitel Hotel next door amazing , with a rooftop pool !!!

Don’t expect luxury !

Stayed here for 1 week with family, arrival was fine from Solange but when I got to my room the hairdryer did not work ! Room was spacious, bed ok but pillows not great. Coffee and tea sachets but the smallest paper cup to drink them, far too hot to hold ? Small water supposed to be left in room each day but I had to phone two days as it was not left. Breakfast was great everyone catered for! Pool great and we always found a sun bed, very relaxing. Restaurant was right next door to the pool BUT it served the same (not much selection) food all day ? I would have liked to see sandwiches, soups etc to be served at lunchtime if you are at the pool for a while, to save changing and going into the centre. The soft drinks at the hotel are expensive, €4.80 for a small water and €5 for a coke ! You can buy outside of the hotel 0.70 cents for water. The walk from the hotel to the City Centre is about 20 minutes, off the main road you will find lovely squares with great restaurants. Two of our favourites were Le Nouveau Peano and Fuzia both Italian. There is a couple of Spar grocery shops for essentials and drinks and sweets (for kids) as nothing like this near the hotel ! To get to the City Centre you walk out of the hotel and turn left. If you turn right there is the gardens - Jardin Emile Duclaux which you can get some amazing views of the city ! When i was checking out there was drinks from the bar added that I did not have, held my taxi up discussing this , finally got it sorted, but driver added extra for the wait !! WiFi is not great ! If I was staying in Marseille with my girlfriends I would NOT stay as far out, we booked this hotel for the pool for my grandson. Have a walk into the Sofitel Hotel next door and take the lift up to the rooftop bar and have a cocktail, amazing views of all of Marseille !

Well located, nice view but not qualitative accomodation

The staff is really nice, polite, and always willing to fulfill your needs. The accommodations are clean, of course, but old and stained. They will need severe refurbishment.

Poor Aircon, WiFi, and Service

Customer review rating 1.5/5

So the biggest problem with this hotel is the aircon doesn’t work. This may be specific to the room I stayed in but for the price this unacceptable. Only there for two nights and don’t really notice the first night but the second night was terrible Second, the WiFi was very slow. Barely connected in the room and then so bad even the TV had trouble connecting to the “Accor” overview. Service at the front desk was ambivalent to poor. “Can’t check in until 3pm. Go away and come back later”. “Can you help me with taking your bags to and from the storage room?” Hardly welcoming. Lastly, someone has unplugged the in room coffee maker, and the socket was impossible to reach behind the refrigerator. Did housekeeping do this to avoid the Nescafé clean? And the arcade game in the lobby didn’t work. The problem is the price for this. Not cheap Should have stayed at the NH or the Ibis.
