Well, a bit desappointed as the hotel room need to be refurbished however very clean and have only 2 plugs (1 in the corridor near the toilet). Think M. Dubrule and Pelisson that my father used to know will be not really happy with it. The location near a large road is not really safe for family and the restaurant roof top is not the one of the Novotel but the next door Sofitel, it’s not clear on the website pictures. About the staff, all of them, cleaners, front desk, waiters and waitresses I have to say that they are very friendly and professional ; rare enough, thank you to all of them.

Difficult to find an adéquate place in the parking. No room upgrade, the I was again with the street View. I received a welcome drink voucher, but the welcome drink was invoiced on the restaurant bill.

I am not very . happy with the car park. Ticket does not work for the duration of the stay. Ticket does not work at night, need to call night security thru interphone, security does not answer etc etc

I felt like I was in a badly managed hotel: some rooms had access to slippers but others didn't (written nowhere, of a poor taste) as a gold member i would expect to get slippers and a robe. The chair in the room was clearly a conference room chair, there were 2 different types of desk. Everything felt recycled. The bathroom of the hotel didnt have soap. The choice of breakfast was very limited compared to other hotels. The was given a long chair at the pool which was ripped. It’s really time to renovate this hotel.

Check in is complicated, we didn't appreciate the restricted stay at the pool, when you pay so much, and further, there were only about 20 people present. The hotel seems not to have the "survey". Lift didn't work, problems with the tv.... I don't blame the staff, which seemed only not capable of solving the problems. A direction was missing.

2 night business trip, staff were friendly and room service excellent. The room was to hot as air con wouldn’t blow cool air, when I asked at reception they said that was how it was set in the hotel for the colder months.

Unfortunately due to the COVID restrictions the stay was not very enjoyable. Breakfast was limited and not very relaxed and having to book the pool was a real pain. The reason I booked the hotel was to have access to a pool after a hot day in Marseille but we couldn't even do that!!

We have experienced that the standard in France is quite a bit lower than in some other European countries. However, the kindness of the staff and the terrace with very nice view AND swimming pool make it worth while.

We stayed in this hotel at the end of a touring holiday around the south of France. We had requested a room suitable for a disabled person as the friend I was travelling with had broken her ankle prior to the trip and was on crutches. We arrived early as we had to return our hire car and the staff were so helpful checking us in early and we spent some time by the lovely pool until our room was ready. Our room had a huge double bed and a double sofa bed. It had a good sized wet room type bathroom and the hotel provided a shower proof stool so my friend could sit and shower comfortably. When we were around the pool the staff worked exceptionally hard to keep it neat, tidy and clean, and were very helpful to my friend with taking drinks to her to save her from trying to get up and move around the wet poolside on crutches. All of the food was fresh and beautifully cooked and the only request I would ask was that they prune the greenery around the bar so you can see the beautiful view a bit more.

This hotel is nicely located at the end of Port of Marseilles offering astonishing views on the port and the sea. Service is Ok but could be better. Especially at the restaurants (Novotel and Sofitel) where the young waitresses offers a really bad service. They obviously don't like their job. Rooms at the Novotel could be upgraded. with fogged bay windows and faded rooms and hallways.

A good choice to enjoy the old city of Marseilles

This Novotel Hotel was a good choice & well positioned to enjoy the views of Marseilles. It is a scenic 15 minute walk to the old port & on to further attractions of the city. The room was clean & comfortable & the restaurant was of a good quality with wonderful views. The park located next door was a bonus & offered great walking paths & a coffee bar as well as a restaurant with city views. The immediate local area had a close Tabac Bar for drinks & pizzas & there were a few boulangeries nearby. A walk to the the beach & coastline walking path took a little longer but offered a less touristy experience. We enjoyed staying at the Novotel as it was a good introduction to Marseilles, while a little away from the busy city centre.

it is a convenient located hotel, in a quiet place in Marseille. Rooms are quite ok, architecture is average and breakfast also. Very close to Faro Palace where I had the conference. The room was large but definitely need renovation, especially at the windows system. Internet was pretty much ok, but the telephone signal was weak.

the hotel needs to be refreshed, (at least Rooms).even if the rooms are clean.the menu could also include more options, more soups and fruits.desserts for kids menu should include fruits well. (not only ice cream and chocolates)

Having booked this hotel, for our 4 night break, and then read some reviews It crossed my mind that I should cancel.Extremely pleased that I didn't. This hotel was excellent in all respects.Overall it is typical of a lot of Novotels and was spotlessly clean in all areas, with good facilities including bar and restaurant. The service was given willingly and always with a smile. One person in particular stood out " Patrick" who is clearly a jack of all trades but carries out all duties to a first class standard. Several others also also merit praise, especially the young lady (sorry I have mislaid her name) who checked us out when leaving. This hotel receives a ten from me and we shall return in the future.
