I stayed for 3 nights- short break in Paris. The first room I got was at the attic and quite small and uncomfortable, but afterwards I’ve been transferded to another room with normal ceiling hight and it was great. The rooms looked liked it would need refreshing, but were ok. Very comfortable bed! Simple but very good breakfest. Freshly squeezed orange juce and good coffee. The Hotel is 3 min from the Republique Metro station- very well conected. Ideal choice for short visit.

Good location, welcoming reception and check-in process. The room was a bit outdated with broken door in the shower and some scratched furniture. At the same time the room was clean and well made. The breakfast was enough variable and of a good quality, it is a great plus.

I wa put in the wrong room

I booked a double room and checked in online pre arrival. When I got there there was only a single room - they said was their fault but I would be reimbursed by last Monday and I still have not been. Room was also very noisy

Nice staff but hotel is outdated

When booking an Ibis Styles you have a certain expectation. To be clear ahead the staff is really nice, but everything else in the hotel needs to be renovated. The rooms are old, in the double room I had booked there’s hardly space to move alongside the bed, the showerhead is leaking, the doors lock with classic keys hence DON’T forget to lock your door because it can be opened from the outside if not locked, the carpet has seen better times and the breakfast is, well, max Parisien standard. I don’t find the quality price ratio.

Convenient location. We got a ground floor larger room. Previously stayed on 1 st floor. The service is OK. The breakfast is OK. The hotel itself n d rooms are quite bare and could do with a re-fresher

Location was great, close to Gare de l'Est and several metro lines. Breakfast was good considering it was included in the rate. The only downsides were the noise from the other rooms and that locking/unlocking the door was slightly difficult (we also heard some of the other rooms also struggling with this)

The positive points are: very comfy beds, pleasant, helpful and polite staff and very good breakfast The negatives are: room had very outdated decor and cobwebs above single bed in room 311. No chairs to sit on. The bathroom was a disgrace, the bath panel was loose and pushed forward showing lots of broken and grubby bits of wood at the side. The bath was too high and the toilet pan bowl was very dirty, maybe limescale which can be cleaned

Ok, but it would’ve been nice to know about the elevator situation beforehand. That being said, a box of chocolates and a bottle of water do not seem enough given the big inconvenience it is.

The hotel was good to sleep and internet was of good speed. The whole stay would have been better if the elevator would have been working. Receptionist was great as she asked me which floor I want to stay on as I has a lot of luggage.

Great location to get around the city, but poor facilities for an ibis hotel. Room dated but clean. Lift not working, so 4 nights staying on the 4th floor meant staying away or staying in room with very basic facilities. No English speaking channel on tv.

Shower was poorly designed and some other choice than a duvet should be offered in the way of bed covers for those who prefer a cooler sleeping experience. Everything else was fine, or at least as good as can be expected in the price range. The excellent breakfast and attractive breakfast room were nice surprises.

The elevator was “indefinitely” broken requiring use of the spiral stairs up and down four flights if stairs multiple times per day. The room was small and cramped with barely room to walk to the bed. The heat was stiffing hot with no way to change it. The bathroom had a constant foul odor. The shower/tub was so high I nearly fell trying to get out several times.

Poor noise proofing- meant very poor sleep Rooms were small dirty and dated. Up there with the worst hotels I have stayed in. But you this already as other have complained about the same things...

Overall, this hotel was a great value and a good location near Republique metro. The employees were nice and helpful, in keeping with IBIS standards. However, IBIS should have placed a message in the hotel description on the website when booking that the lift was broken and being renovated and that some people would have to take the stairs up to higher floors.

Highs and Lows at the Ibis Styles Le Marais

From the front door the hotel did not look welcoming but the reception was fun looking and friendly. We were then told the lift was broken (and seemed to have been broken for a while). We ended up choosing the room on the 5th floor as we were told the compensation was more the higher we chose, as it was a box of chocolates I'm not sure if that was true or not. The room smelt really bad, the smell is when a shower or toilet hasn't been used for a while and the water builds up in the ubend. We flushed and ran the water. It didn't help much. After that though, we all slept really well and the breakfast was great.

Poor and well below par. Lift not working. No bar. Whole place feels as if it's been given a cheap facelift. At 100 euro a night I felt ripped off with the price for the poor quality. Breakfast also disappointing - no bread when I arrived!! It was in the oven (ie microwave) and when put out the inside was still frozen. Sums up the place! Only redeeming feature was pleasant, friendly staff at reception. Oh room door keys needed to be left at reception (decades since I've been in a hotel where that happens!
