My wife and I wanted to attend a special evening event in central Paris, driving in an electric car from Brussels. The midday to midday checkin-checkout allowed us to freshen up before we headed into central Paris, stay until after midnight, have a late breakfast at 09:30 and then return to Brussels calmly via local roads.

The bed and bath were adequate for a one nighter but dated. The main problem was the very poor sonic insulation. Every sound made outside the room was clearly heard. The people next-door were having their “private” house party until after 2a.m. Reception did not answer my repeated calls (4 times!) So travelling from Amsterdam to the south of France with hardly any sleep is no pleasure when 74!

Breakfast satisfying, as always; staff pleasant, as always; but the room (27) in the building separate from reception and restaurant seemed dated. First time we have stayed in that building. Holes in desk; bedside lighting of bulb hanging from an electrical cord glared in one’s eyes; no phone charging stations next to bed; television stations greatly reduced even since August or September.
