disappointing stay

We have stayed at Ibis hotels in France for years and the quality is going downhill. Only one towel each and cheap towels, shabby room and hotel, no coffee or other small welcoming items. Stayed at Kyriad later and it was far superior.

Very bad experience as the hotel informed me my booking was cancelled

I booked a room in the Ibis Senlis hotel via the online booking service. I noticed that I had to repeat the verification process because of a poor connection but finally succeeded to complete the payment using my creditcard and I received a comfirmation mail that the booking was successful and the room reserved with the following details: Reserveringsnummer: MJKDGCHC Transactienummer: MJKDGCHC_01…0524PP3 However on arrival at the reception I was informed that my booking had been cancelled and the only way I could stay that night was by booking at the reception desk again. Even showing my reservation mail as well as the subscription of the booking from my creditcard did not convince the receptionist. As I had nowhere else I could stay I finally paid under protest. I have already filed a complaint via Klacht.nl as this treatment of a guest is totally unacceptable

Was located just off the main road. Not a bad ibis. Rooms were pretty small and bathroom could do with a spruce up but overall clean and tidy. Free parking which was useful and only a short walk from McDonald’s
