We were aware that the hotel was under renovation but booked anyway because of the location and on site restaurant. The stay was generally okay. The room did need renovation but the food was excellent.

The hotel is under refurbishment and is using a temporary bar and restaurant. It wa a cold snowy night and the room heating was not working.

The room was dirty. The carpet looked like someone had been murdeted on it.

Restaurant Closed

Two days after making the booking which was non-refundable we were informed the restaurant would be closed at the time of our stay. The reason we booked the hotel was because, it advertised a restuarant and invited us to book our meals in advance. Had we been told at the time the restauant would be closed, we would not have booked this hotel. . On arrival the receptionist was extremely polite and helpful. I wished to take a bath, but the plug was broken and the water escaped as fast as it entered the bath. We booked via Booking.com and feel they let us down, with a lack of information. Perhaps in the future we shall book another hotel, but not with Booking.com
