Great hotel travelling back to Calais. Easy parking, swimming pool for teenagers to stretch out in, comfy rooms, good restaurant & very helpful staff.

Na een half jaar terug voor de 31e keer in het zojuist gerenoveerde hotel. Hoewel alles mooi is opgeknapt, had ik de slechtste hotel/restaurantervaring sinds lange tijd. Wij kregen niet de kamer die besteld en bevestigd was. Dat betekent weer met je koffers verhuizen naar een andere verdieping. In plaats van de twee bestelde camparis maakte men campari spritz. Het diner viel ontzettend tegen. De entrecote was een keiharde blok vlees. De groente was doorgekookt. De crème brulee werd na 20 minuten en een keer navragen niet geleverd, dus maar weg zonder nagerecht. Van de bestelde rosé en rode wijn bleek de rosé 5 euro te kosten maar de rode wijn 13 euro. Helaas nooit meer eten in dit restaurant The Lodge van het hotel. Tot overmaat van ramp waren de kussens zeer dik en hard, dus ook nog slecht geslapen.
