Toilet didn’t flush. Breakfast was the worst I have ever had in a hotel. Receptionist on arrival was indifferent.

Our first room had a badly stained toilet bowl, a very dirty shower and the bed was very badly made and there was a hole in the sofa. The receptionist was very apologetic and we were given another room which was clean but was in need of an upgrade. Although the reception area was new and very nice. My only other comment is there was no bacon or ham available at breakfast time to go with the scrambled egg

Kindly given ground floor room when staff noticed how much luggage we had. Room 166 not very nice, queen sized bed squeezed really close to the wall on one side, barely room to get in & out of bed. Horrible grey paint as decor. We’ve had lovely rooms in other Novotels but I don’t seem to select nice hotels anymore.

The welcome/check in was great. Rooms average Breakfast was below what is expected. Not enough staff, ran out of milk ,pastries, mugs jams.

Conveniet place to stop on the way to the Alps, but....

We often stop at the Novotel Dijon on our way to the alps as it is easy to get to, without much of a detour. Free parking always seems to be available and the reception staff are friendly and helpful. It is worth noting that there is no lift so if access is an issue or you have heavy luggage etc it might be best to ask for a ground floor room. We asked for a quiet room. From experience we know that some guests can be noisey, especially with children running up and down the corridors. We were pleased to have been put towards the end of the hotel, but it turned out that we were very close to the cleaning staffs linen room. They were shouting at each other for quite some time early in the morning which was more than irritating! Breakfast selection was also poor. No eggs or bacon and no decent cereal :( Plenty of bread and cheese if thats what you like!

Overall, a good experience. Two observations: 1. The reception area isn't obvious. It looks just like a table where people could work. Better signage would help. 2. Breakfast, which is very french, has no hot food options (or if there are, they're very well hidden) Neither would put me off staying again

An awfull night and following day and night after having eaten tartre in the resraurant.

Had dinner in the restaurant. Tartre. Was on toilet once in the night with diaroehhe. Next morning after check out, I had to go back to use the toilet again. We had a drive app. 700km in front of us. During the day 1 visit to toilet but the following nigt I was on toilet 5 times. The owner of the hotel in Germany was very helpfull and send us off with cocacola and salty chips. We still had 650 km. to our home in Denmark. Kind regards . Per T..

Too bad we had to book an extra room because of the number of people allowed per room 3 maximum. So we will have to find another hotel next time for 2 adults and 2 children (12 years old and 3 years old).

Nice hotel but rooms are looking old

We have been to this hotel a few times, the reception, bar and restaurant look modem but the rooms look old and tied. We spent 15 mins waiting for the power to be turn back on as it tripped out. The food in the restaurant was good and service pleasant

This was our stop to Marseille. We decided to stop at Dijon. I am actually extremely surprised by the quality of service at this property. Everyone from F&B department to the reception have been extremely nice and helpful. You will find the breakfast surprisingly good. The home made croc’ Monsieur have to be tried. Celia at the bar and restaurant is a fantastic host and so is Nay and Youssef who have literally helped me get out of a very difficult situation. Overall, this was a surprisingly good experience. The only issue is the location of the hotel but you can easily reach Dijon centre after a 15 min drive. The other issue might be that rooms need to be refurbished. But no big deal really!!!

Covid restrictions

Having a test certificate from Spain when the QR code on the certificate cannot be read in France and then be restricted to the usage of facilities makes zero sense. The certificate indicates NEGATIVE. Because the QR code cannot be read due to some technological problem and then restricting clients shows very poor customer service!

"La loi c'est la loi" or "The law is the law" or the Rule is the Rule...was the answer of the Manager a certain Romane Denni when she refused the validity of our Belgian Certificates giving the proof that my wife an me werre legally vaccinated in Belgium . She even refused to have look at our papers under the pretext that the Euro Digital Card Certificate was not completely in order ( indeed one page was missing...). We went to our two rooms and then we tried once again to draw the attention of this Lady that we were in order according to the law in all sincerity and genuine but it was absolutely useless. She held her position : my wife must remain in the room and my three Fench grandchidren and I were entirely free to enjoy the hotel being in order withe the complete paper ( 2 pages instead of one for my wife). Then we paid the 265 Euros bill and we left this hotel. In my whole life I've never met such an uncompromising person. Maybe to end the story useful to mention that the day before in Nancy we enjoyed a amazing stay in a Hotel Ibis member of the network Accor and without any problem. So about the Novotel Route des Grand crus : Such a bad experience ...never again.

OK for just one night; whilst travelling South to North. Slightly dissapointing stay; not the Novotel standards we are used to. Rooms were clean and adecuate but noisy, very small and not very elegant (even though we booked a 'superior' class, I fear for the standard rooms). Breakfast also rather minimal.
