Thank you for accommodating us for the booked-out Sunday brunch. It was delicious! Regrettably we had to contact ALL Limitless PA service to get a table instead of just asking a courtesy at the front desk, who turned us down in 2 seconds: “nous sommes complets. Désolé !”

I was disappointed with this experience as an Accor Gold member. I arrived on my birthday (which was known because my husband ordered a bottle of champagne for the room on arrival) and I realize that upgrades are not guaranteed but it seemed to be an imposition when I asked. So, no upgrade. The bed in the assigned room seemed small and when we inquired with the front desk we were basically told our understanding of a king size bed was misplaced. The room didn’t have any place to properly store luggage but when my husband asked for a rack, the request was received kindly and fulfilled. I wish I could remember that individual’s name because he was pragmatic and helpful unlike his other colleagues. The deep soaking tub is great but difficult to get in and out of without grab bars especially when there’s no shower curtain and water gets all over the marble floor. The heated towel rack was not functional and on our last day, there were hundreds of flies within and around our windows. Not sure what happened and we wanted to mention it on checkout but got derailed because there was a billing issue that took a lot of discussion to resolve. We enjoyed the small fitness room and were glad that we didn’t have to fight other guests for equipment. The provided water and towels were welcome. We also enjoyed the complimentary pool area experience. Very nice. I guess I was expecting more in terms of hospitality especially since we had such a warm welcome at the Novotel Gare de Lyon a night prior.
