Room and restaurant were very good,. The staff were relaxed, helpful and professional. We have stayed here several times over the past 25 years so we knew more or less what to expect. If anything the quality of service and the ambiance has imroved over time. The view from the Hotel over the town and chateau is dramatic. There is a good taxi service down to town. There are free car parks in the town if you have your own car and there is ample free outside parking at the Hotel. The only downside was that despite air conditioning our room was a little warm. We didn't want the fan turned up to its highest speed because it was noisy. But all in all a wonderful few days at Novotel Amboise.

Following a flight cancellation from Tours airport that day my wife and I decided to make the best of a bad day by staying at this hotel. My wife has stayed there a few times previously but I hadn’t. Her recommendation was absolutely spot on and we had an enjoyable 2 night stay, dining in the in house restaurant. The food was superb and well priced.
