I stayed two nights at a business convention. I had to share a bathroom with other people; I only had one electric socket, and I had to shower in a bathtub. I also had to rush to have dinner because the kitchen closes early. I guess it's a great place for another kind of trip; for me, it was the most expensive hostel ever.

There is a significant mismatch between price, perceived value, and overall quality. Even at a discounted group rate, I was disappointed by several aspects: - A 100m walk between the room and the restaurant for breakfast, particularly inconvenient and frustrating in bad weather - Poor finishing details in the room: uneven paint lines along the accent wall in the room's toilets, and visible paint on the edges of the (removable!!) flush panel - Long hairs on the floor behind the toilet door - Outdated surface-mounted electrical outlets in the room - A bathroom mirror with visible stains and deterioration of the reflective surface, clearly showing its age - Confusing elevator logic: the 6th floor is actually downstair, meaning I was VERY confused when I tried to use the staircase to go back to the reception. - Noisy elevator repeatedly dialling a phone number loudly for no reason and likely disturbing nearby rooms throughout the night - Damaged trim around the windows in the sunroom attached to the conference room, not well maintained and visually unappealing - A visibly misaligned (rotated) electrical socket in the conference room, impossible to ignore once noticed - Broken lock on the conference room restroom, simply unacceptable - Breakfast scheduled for 6:30, but still being set up at 6:40, with several items missing - Limited and underwhelming breakfast selection. For example, only mini pain au chocolat, not even a simple croissant (and I am not even expecting a full English breakfast) - Coffee located in adjacent room. You may have to ask other guests to find the machine like I had to. One of our group lunches was particularly disappointing: - The rice was dried out and crunchy - The pork was completely overcooked and inedible - The fruit salad was overly dominated by blackcurrants, resulting in a bitter taste. Some even joked that the sangria seemed to lack wine (To be fair, the guacamole and the salmon starter were excellent.) Overall, while the value may lie elsewhere, for a short business stay linked to a seminar, the experience was both expensive and underwhelming.

Disappointing that we had to go out to eat.

We are sincerely sorry for the disappointment caused by not being able to dine at our restaurants during your stay. We understand how frustrating it must have been to have to leave the estate to find a restaurant elsewhere, especially during the warm weather. Our restaurants can occasionally reach full capacity, particularly on weekends, which is why we encourage guests to reserve in advance. That said, we fully understand your disappointment and regret that we were unable to offer you a table on this occasion. Room was fine, breakfast was good, staff were friendly. Disappointed that the indoor swimming pool didn't open until 10am, so couldn't go for a pre-breakfast swim
