While we undertake façade improvements, our Pool & Spa opening hours are adjusted as follows: *Weekdays - 4PM to 10PM; *Weekends, Queensland school holidays, and public holidays - remain open all day; Minimal noise may occur, but we're committed to keeping it as low as possible. Room was clean and the hotel was in a great location. The only complaint we had was the very minimal parking and the shower head was HORRIBLE and water was everywhere.

Great central location, clean & tidy, staff very friendly and helpful. However when we booked there was no notification that parking was an additional $27 a day, that was disappointing to be stung with upon arrival. Also no notice when booking the pool and outside area was out of service during business hours on the weekdays - with kids who wanted to swim it was again disappointing to find out it was closed due to maintenance with no prior warning, given this was one of the reasons we booked there!

I booked Novotel for it's name and location. Location yes it's great, and staff is nice and helpful but that is all. Most terrible thing is the TV turned on itself few times after midnight. The bed is very old and soft which I did have a sore neck for 2 days after one night of sleep. The whole room is old, there's chipped paint on the doors, hard to pull balcony sliding door, no USB charging ports, minimal toiletries (just towels and soaps), oh and filthy lift buttons of all the lifts. I was in shock of the condition for a "Novotel" being in the centre of Surfers Paradise. The 2 rating is all to the staff David who was very nice and helpful on check in.

On arrival the concierge was fantastic. When I booked in I was told breakfast was included but I needed to pay for parking I thought fantastic. On departure a different receptionist went to get the duty manager and I was told I had to now pay for breakfast that I was told was included on arrival. The price was reasonable and after I expressed my dissatisfaction in having to pay for something I was told was included I agreed to pay but was told they could not except the card I wanted to pay with. And the kicker is the duty manager then laughed at the position I was In. Although our two day stay was excellent it was soured by the experience of check out and attitude of the duty manager. And has left us reconsidering the Likely hood of staying again.
