Good location close walk to food. Hotel layout was nice. Just think the hotel needs an indoor spa most people that were staying there the nine days I was there were in the spa not utilising the three pools on site.

This was our second stay at Mantra Circle on Cavill and overall we had another enjoyable stay. The location is really convenient, especially for getting around on the tram. Check-in and check-out were easy, the staff were friendly, and the room had everything we needed. There was plenty of wardrobe space and the bathroom was large, clean and well maintained. It was a little noisy from the street over the weekend, particularly with cars revving, but during the week it was absolutely fine. The only slight disappointment was that, despite being a Gold member, we haven’t received a room upgrade on either of our stays. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay.

The accommodation itself was fine, and we had no concerns with the room or general facilities. However, the lifts and the way guests were supported during an emergency were extremely disappointing. We were trapped in a lift for approximately 45 minutes with two other families, including two young children. Being confined in a small space for that length of time was distressing, particularly with children present. There was no mobile reception or internet access inside the lift, which meant we could not even contact the hotel's reception directly to advise them of our situation or seek assistance. We had to rely on the lift's emergency communication system, which was poor. Calls appeared to have time limits, and we were repeatedly asked the same questions, including our names and contact numbers, rather than being provided with meaningful updates or reassurance. Although we were staying on the Gold Coast, the emergency calls were handled by a company based in Sydney. Their response was particularly disappointing. We were told it was "only 45 minutes", which demonstrated little understanding of the experience of those trapped inside. When we attempted to explain the communication difficulties and provide constructive feedback on how the emergency response could be improved, they showed little interest in listening. The maintenance worker who attended to get the lift operating again advised that he was only responsible for maintenance and was unable to pass our feedback on to management. What was equally concerning was the response when we subsequently notified hotel staff about the incident, including our inability to contact reception while trapped. They appeared uninterested in listening to our concerns or understanding what had occurred. At no point did we feel there was a genuine effort to seek feedback or identify opportunities to improve the process. Our concerns are not about the quality of the accommodation but about guest safety, emergency communication and the lack of support and accountability when something goes wrong. We were not seeking to blame individuals. We simply wanted our experience acknowledged and our feedback taken seriously to help prevent similar situations in the future. The hotel should review its lift emergency procedures, communication arrangements with its Sydney-based service provider, the inability of trapped guests to contact hotel reception, and how incidents and guest feedback are escalated to management. Being trapped in a lift for 45 minutes with young children is not a minor inconvenience. The most disappointing aspect was not simply the lift failure, but the apparent lack of concern, communication and willingness to listen to guests afterwards.

Great place to stay, well located, clean, modern apartments. The only very small criticism is the lifts can be a little slow, even in off-peak times. 4 lifts in total for 30+ floors and only 1-2 seemed to be operational. One was marked closed for maintenance but the third I never saw operating. Also, there was a dedicated cleaners lift but the cleaners were using the guest lifts meaning guests with luggage had to wait for the next lift due to lift being full with cleaners trolley.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom ocean view apartment. It was beautiful waking up to the views in the morning. The room was clean and tidy and quite spacious. The only downside were the lifts where you could wait for upto 20 minutes as only 2 out of the 4 lifts were working. We would definately stay there again.
