Appliances were too old to use such as the lounge table lamp base was all rusted. Too many and all sizes on the balcony. The laundry iron board was very old and very dirty. The vacuum is extremely old no buttons to turn on or off and no suction. The dryer in the laundry is blowing extreme fluff when being used. The washing machine top door has no screws when closing and opening, tends to come off when opening or closing. In the bedroom that has 2 single beds the roller blind in that room was too old that when i was trying to roll the blind up for the first time in using it, it immediately snapped off. I told the receptionist what happened and she told me the maintenance guy wasn’t available on the day but will be the next day. No one showed up at all throughout all my trip so was unable to use to the room as we couldn’t open the doors or blind & the fan that was in the room was extremely dusty and dirty to use. So we did not use the room to sleep at all. Shower heads were rusty and floor too old. Over all the apartment wasn’t comfortable to use in anyway we felt it wasn’t clean enough to be in use & alot need replacing. Its not fair for the money i paid. I request to get some of my money back as we weren’t able to use the room and slept on the Lounge and outdoor lounge instead. l. We were also locked in the bbq area due to gate being faulty and No number was given to us to call incase of emergency on arrival incase we needed something and there was no security guard which we can call to.

Third experience with the Moroccan, second as guests. The rooms were comfortable, and most of what we needed for a good price. Due to a last minute addition, we were upgraded to a bigger room for a low fee, which made the entire stay much more comfortable. Views out of our window were nice, partially obstructed beach views, great for a nice relaxing time on the balcony. Location was perfect for what we needed, close enough for our events while far enough to give us privacy. Amenities, such as pool, spa, sauna, etc, seem well maintained and were good to use. Staff and security all pleasant, polite, and professional. Cons were few but present. The room itself came with only 2 plastic cups and 2 glasses, both sets different sizes. As the apartment consisted of 2 bedrooms (double bed and 2x single beds), this seems sorely lacking for average guest numbers. We found ourselves forced to reuse and or wash the few cups multiple times a day. Compared to our previous stay, the common area TV was significantly smaller, making any events surrounding it much more difficult. Upon arrival, there was a small damaged section of wall in the common area. While not directly affecting the stay itself, it was both an eyesore and a point of worry in case of getting charged for damage we did not cause, which thankfully didn't happen. Finally, the ensuite attached to the main bed definitely felt a little run down. This is likely due to the proximity to the ocean and the salty sea air, but numerous sections of the bathroom just seemed old and or worn out. All in all, the experience staying here was a positive one. Due to our main event relocating, we will likely not be back here next year, but for a budget holiday, we were very happy with the overall experience. If you're looking for the 5 star glamorous experience, you won't find it here, but if you're after a low cost base of operations that is more than just a bed in a room, you cannot go wrong with the Moroccan. Whether you're a family looking for a relaxing getaway, or a friend group looking for home base in a lively area, you can likely find what you need here

I have stayed at the Morrocan a couple of times a year now for a few years. It feels like a home away from home. The staff have been wonderful to deal with, and the one time I had a room that wasn't quite up to the standard of others I had stayed.is, the staff were able to move me to another.

I have stayed here 4 times now, the first three times I could not of faulted it but this time where do I start. The unit was quite run down with powerpoints hanging out of the walls. There was no internet access which we had been given a code to connect for free access. The bed was very uncomfortable, it felt like the mattress was 20 years old with sagging and body impressions in the mattress. However the manager did put a mattress topper on which made a little bit of a difference. Then on our second last night we woke up to a snake slithering around on our bedroom floor!! Yes a SNAKE!! Maintenance came quite quickly and insinuated that we had brought it in with our luggage (by then we had already been there 6 nights plus we dont get tree snakes in our region) they eventually called a snake catcher while locking it in our bedroom jamming everything up with our towels and linen and putting everything on the bed including furniture. While we were waiting for the snake catcher to arrive we went out, i asked reception for housekeeping to change our linen and supply new towels after the snake catcher had been. It took hours to have the snake removed and housekeeping to come and it was only that I called reception to see if it had been done so that we could return. A courtesy call would of been appreciated!! Housekeeping had changed the linen and made the beds but left the furniture all over the place and the towels used to jam everything up im the same spot so I never slept well as I kept thinking the snake was still there Not once were we offered any compassion or compensation!
