Easy check in, in such a great location. The person that checked us in was extremely helpful and made the process easy. A few issues with the room Hairdryer caught on fire Broken drinking glasses in the room Dishes still in the dishwasher Travelling in the middle of winter I understand it’s not overly cold in Gold Coast, however bedding was only 1 x sheet and 1x blanket. I didn’t think that was the best bedding to keep us warm or feeling comfortable. Tv didn’t work - had to call reception to help reset system - staff who came to help were helpful Rooms were in really bright at night time - light shines through the blinds doesn’t provide much privacy. Felt like the room rate was incredibly high for the standard of the room

Dated and cheaply furnished

To be honest, we expected a little more. 1. The living room was very cheaply furnished, with very firm couches. 2. The lamp in the Living Room was basically short circuiting and there was a large stain on the lampshade. 3. The cutlery was mismatching and some of the bigger knives either had broken handles or burnt/melted handles. 4. The cooktop had a big crack through the glass surface, which didn't inspire a lot of trust in it to not explode when cooking. 5. The tiles around the bath were cracked and had been for quite some time. 6. The queen size bed in the main bedroom was incredibly firm and would best be described as having come out of the Flintstones. 7. All in all, the apartment felt very tired and long overdue for a good refresh 8. The hotel phone did not work and maintenance person was unable to get it working even after replacing the handset. 9. The resort facilities were to a very high standard otherwise with friendly staff and well cleaned common areas.

Great location, room facilities quite dated.

Great hotel, very central with amazing facilities. We were there in winter and the pools were too cold to use but I can see how they would be amazing in the summer. Our room was just above the one of the lap pools which had a very loud humming noise all night so I didn't sleep very well. Also our room which was a two bed one bathroom was not the most well equipped either. For instance .... there was a smart tv but for some reason the TV was not hooked up to the Internet. Reception advised that there was foxtel instead..which was like being on a 1960s Sci fi show It wouldn't take too much to actually hook the tvs up properly Our room also had a huge coffee table that spilled outwards taking up 3/4 of the lounge space. You couldn't walk passed it without stubbing your toe and it was affectionately referred to as the table of death for the entire stay. Aside from the outdated lazy approach to tvs and poorly conceived ideas on furniture size relative to the room size, it was excellent. And we will likely stay again

Dear SABRINA, Thank you for your detailed feedback. We're glad you enjoyed our great location and amazing facilities, even though the pools were too cold to use during your winter stay. We apologize for the noise disturbance from the lap pool and for the outdated room facilities, including the issues with the smart TV and oversized coffee table. Regarding the smart TV, our hotel Wi-Fi cannot connect directly due to a Wi-Fi registration page. However, you can use your own data and hotspot for internet access. We appreciate your suggestion and will look into making improvements. Your comments about the furniture size relative to the room are also noted, and we will consider these in future updates. Despite these inconveniences, we're pleased to hear that you still had an excellent stay and plan to return. We look forward to welcoming you back. Warm regards, Sylvia Ambrose General Manager Mantra Towers of Chevron

Overdue for a refurbishment, cheaply furnished and not particularly comfortable.

Very dated and tired apartment, long overdue for a refurbishment. Cheaply furnished with extremely firm bedding and not particularly comfortable sofas. Kitchen equipment mismatching and damaged. Bathroom tiles cracked and mouldy and clearly had been for some time. Hotel staff were great and common areas were well maintained and clean. Shame about the apartment.

Dear Scott, Thank you for your detailed feedback. We apologize for the issues you encountered with the furnishings and maintenance in your apartment. We understand your concerns about the living room furniture, lamp, cutlery, cooktop, bath tiles, and bed. Your comments about the tired appearance of the apartment are noted, and we will address these areas for improvement. We’re pleased to hear that you found our resort facilities to a high standard, with friendly staff and well-maintained common areas. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to enhance our guest experience. We hope to have the opportunity to provide a more refreshed and comfortable stay for you in the future.
