The room was comfortable in central location, tv not working, wifi not working, difficulty navigating through the building to get to pool, shops and to find our vehicle parked in the carpark. Room not serviced daily, had to wash towels every day. I avoided going out on balcony due to an angry man yelling out to other people on balconies. Although we had a kitchen to cook meals, we had to purchase our own pans and ice cube trays as what was provided was not suitable. Pools close at 9pm, after big days out, it would be nice to have pools and spa open longer hours. All in all it was a good stay, I expected more for the money I paid

The apartment had too much outside/road noise. It was ridiculous! It was as though we were sleeping by the highway. Our first aptmt was so bad that we asked to be moved. The next aptmt was marginally better in road noise, but the second we walked in we were greeted with the most disgusting smell of vomit. Upon investigation, there was vomit splattered all on the carpet of the first room, on the bed base and in the bucket under the sink in the laundry. The toilets were putrid with body excrement and fluids splattered on the lids, seats and in the bowls. The floors had clearly not been cleaned - or not well. The toaster was a health hazard - melted on the top (probably would have started an electrical fire) and the kettle was filthy inside too. We asked to have the room cleaned and all we got was deodoriser put on the carpets. I had to buy 3 cans of carpet cleaner and clean it myself to even be able to walk in the room let alone sleep in there (the smell of vomit was overpowering). We asked to have the kettle & toaster checked and thankfully the reception manager replaced them. I spent hours spraying and disinfecting everything we used or touched at my expense. This holiday was meant to be relaxing, refreshing and help us rejuvenate from a particularly difficult period of time and health issues and sadly it was anything but.

We were given a room with a broken air conditioner, then given fans as a substitute. Spent our 2nd day moving to another room. New rooms aircon was not working properly, toilet was leaking water, tv kept cutting out & saying no signal, sliding doors and balcony doors were hard to open & close, balcony door lock was hard to lock & unlock. Victoria came up n reset aircon & tv..it fixed the tv but not the internet. I gave up bothering to complain

Stayed at Mantra Towers of Chevron for a week in Feb for my son’s birthday and honestly, to say I was disappointed is an understatement. Whenever we travel to the Gold Coast I usually stay at Chevron because the location is perfect. The outdoor pool is super kid friendly, there’s a small playground my son loves, the pool area is beautiful and having direct access to the shopping centre is such a bonus, especially at night. I actually stayed here back in May as well and wasn’t happy then either. We found men’s underwear at the end of the bed and there was pubic hair on the shower wall… it was disgusting. I left a complaint on Booking.com at the time but felt the response from the general manager, Sylvia was just a generic copy and paste. There was no genuine apology, no accountability for the cleanliness and no real effort to resolve the issue. Fast forward to this Feb and I’m honestly so frustrated. The cleanliness and overall quality of the rooms are just not up to standard. I paid close to $1700 for the week and the room was infested with cockroaches. Not just one here or there… I’m talking multiple. The first night we saw 3 in the living area. The next night there were 6 massive ones. This continued until day 5 when I’d had enough. I felt gross the whole stay. I was too scared to sit on the couch and ended up sitting at the dining table most of the time. At first, we thought they were coming from outside but we never left doors open. They were actually coming from the walls!!!!! The garden area had rubbish, tiles were cracked, pans in the kitchen were dirty and overall the room just didn’t feel clean. It honestly felt like things were just surface cleaned and not properly maintained. The lifts were also extremely hot. It would be great if you could consider installing a small fan or air conditioning. I do want to mention that the girl at reception who helped me was amazing. She was kind and understanding and found us another room within 5 minutes. I really can’t fault her at all. The new room we were moved to was much better, cleaner, more modern and felt well looked after. Unfortunately, we only had it for the last 2 days, but I really wish we had that room from the start. If we ever stay again I would definitely request that room. I really hope this feedback is taken seriously. Reception and the pool area is clean. But the rooms need to be much better maintained and deep cleaned regularly. To management, this is something that really needs attention. I saved for a long time to make my son’s birthday special and felt extremely disappointed and let down. I would also really appreciate some sort of resolution, as spending 5 days in a room with cockroaches is not acceptable. I would be more than happy to provide you with a video that we managed to catch the cockroach entering the wall.
