It is a handy location and comfortable room. The check in procedure was problematic. Last time, I checked in at the desk and was told to use the machine, so this time I went to the machine straight away. I added car parking and was directed to pay $16 plus 22c surcharge at the time. I thought the balance for accommodation must be being saved for checkout as it was not requested at the time. I went to my room, set my alarm for 30 minutes so I could have a snooze before a concert we were going to and half way, the room phone rang. It was reception, waking me to get my card details to process the payment. I couldn’t remember them and was in bed so they agreed to let me finalise this when I was leaving in half an hour. I didn’t get to have a proper nap. I requested ‘cheque’ to avoid credit card surcharge and they told me they don’t charge that. At check out, at the machine, I couldn’t finalise my account until I paid an additional 22c which I presume to be the surcharge for the accommodation, even though it’s the same as the 22c I had already paid for parking. It may seem a small amount, but it was a nuisance and annoying.

The room was better than last time due to new arm chairs instead of the old too soft sofa. The only hiccup we had was the refresh of the room was very late on the first day.
