I stay at the Sebel Chatswood frequently: the rooms are great, the location is really good, and in general it is great value. However a couple of times I have needed to check in after hours (that is, arriving after 6 pm when reception closes) and the process is really clunky. You call a help desk overseas and stay on the phone with them, who then send you an email, to which you respond with a photo of your driver's license or passport to prove your ID, they then send a message through to the card machine to process a payment through tapping, and then once that goes through you go to the safe, enter a code, obtain your key with a fob which you need for the lift, and then they give you another code you need to write down in order to access your room. Last time I was there was a series of tech failures which ended up with me plugging my laptop into a power socket, so I was doing most of this whilst sitting on the floor of reception wedged up against the sofa, and the entire process took about 15 minutes. The previous time it took about ten minutes. Given that Accor already have my ID and credit card details, surely it should just be a case (as in many other hotels with limited reception hours) of just texting through the relevant details to the phone number they have on record? So overall, great place to stay, but probably a place to avoid if you are checking in after hours.

Bathroom doors dont lock, linen & bedding & fold out bed dirty. Very limited reception hours. I couldn't contact reception by phone prior to check in (tried for 4 hours) . It is by far the worst accor hotel I stay in. I have decided to no longer stay there but find alternative accommodation.

For misleading advertising On the Accor website they advertise they offer for breakfast Which was a primary reason for my decision to stay at the Sebel Only to discover they do not offer breakfast or in fact have any food facilities whatsoever Further they do not offer the membership amenity pack or drink voucher either They do not answer external phone calls - tried for 4 days
