As a Platinum member who travels frequently for business and manages large bookings for the brand, I know the standard this hotel should be meeting. This stay was a failure on almost every level, made worse by a complete lack of leadership. Housekeeping: Did anyone actually clean this room? It became immediately clear that the room had not been properly serviced or inspected after the previous guest departed. We found a collection of random items left behind: • Dirty Items: A dirty old hair straightener was left in the room. • Leftovers: An open bag of rolled oats in the pantry and a collection of non-standard mugs (with dog prints) that clearly didn't belong to the hotel. • Hygiene: The freezer was unusable due to a "diorama" of solid ice, and the shower was mouldy with heavy soap scum. It took 3 days of complaining to finally get the shower cleaned. Management & Service The most frustrating aspect was the response to our issues. The Manager essentially went into hiding; I never heard back regarding my complaints or the room change request. While the reception staff were polite, they were clearly unsupported and unable to resolve the issues. Missing Provisions For a "self-contained" apartment, the unit was stripped bare: • No Basics: I never received the milk or dish cloths I requested. I was forced to use a tea towel to wash dishes and a bath towel to dry them. • Cooking: The kitchen had no pot (only a pan) and no scourer. I couldn't even boil an egg. Platinum Recognition & Amenities • Bedding: The trundle bed was set up with a single pillow taken from the main bed, leaving us short on linen. • Platinum Benefits: No welcome amenity. The "welcome drink" was two warm ginger beers handed to me only after I asked. • False Advertising: The spa and sauna are closed, despite the website advertising them as open. Verdict Between finding a stranger's dirty hair straightener, waiting 3 days for a clean shower, and the manager ghosting us, this experience was ridiculous. I cannot recommend staying here until they sort out their basic housekeeping standards.

The location is great - very central, loats of amenities close by. We were quite disappointed with the bed however - very uncomfortable, the mattress springs were gone, so I spent the whole evening rolling out the bed. Unfortunately I didn't check the bed before reception staff had left for the night. The breakfast was also very disappointing - not what you expect from a 'hotel' breakfast. Probably wouldn't stay again.

This hotel seems to be on the decline. We have stayed before and enjoyed our stay but most recent visit will be our last. In summary, there was no one to check us in - not a problem had we been made aware of that, but we waited for some time before calling the number listed at the front desk for 'urgent' matters. I had assumed someone would be back and didn’t think checking in classed as urgent. No welcome let alone the welcome drink. When we got to our floor we found the hallway was really dirty and in desperate need of a vacuum. The spa was also not working. Inside our apartment, there was garbage in the bins from previous guests and we were only supplied with ½ the number of towels for the number of booked guests - and no-one at reception to address this with. I provided this feedback privately and over a week later, have had no response from the hotel. A reflection of the whole experience really. DISAPPOINTING!

We arrive late in the afternoon & went to shower only to find every body wash, shampoo, conditioner & body lotion empty. The bathroom had mould there was only 1 towel . Also there was no milk to have with our tea.
