Fantastic stay, from checkin to check out! Also I really appreciate the efforts made to accomodate my van which was too big to get in the regular car park, but a suitable park was held.

We were made aware that work was happening on the exterior of the building and wouldn’t be able to access balcony. However, the spa was not working and we our key didn’t work on the Saturday evening after returning from a big day out at the zoo. We also called reception twice to fix the washing machine. I think the price should be cheaper if all of these things are inaccessible and not working.

Overall stay was good given the location is fantastic, close to shopping, food and train station. Things that Sebel Sydney can improve on will be cleaning. The curtains can be cleaned or changed more frequently as there’s stains on them and the bathroom sinks too. There’s hair behind the bathroom door and ceiling. Otherwise, we were happy with our sleep, it was quiet and not noisy compared to some other accomodations.

The room was perfect for us. Clean and had everything we needed. Beds comfortable. The heating did not work, it blows cold air even when set to hot. This was very disappointing. We did tell reception and they did attend the room and turned on the heating, but didnt stay to see that it blows cold air. The balcony was covered in broken glass due possibly to the renovation. We told reception and someone did clear most of the glass but shards remained.

However it could have been better as I had requested an earlier Check in of around 11am as we have had in the past. We were traveling from Newcastle for an eye specialist appointment, for the two of us, at 2pm. On arrival at 11.30am we were advised that the room would not be available until 2.30pm. This was a bit disappointing

Dissappointing

The rooms need refurbishment urgently; the walls are marked and damaged with pieces of plaster missing revealing the plastboard metal edging on the corners. The grout in bathroom is worn and marked appearing dirty - a cosmetic regrouting would be the minimum needed. The fold out sofa mattress is so worn that the wire springs are poking through - this must be taken to the tip immediately. I understand that external painting is underway, but the painters should be respectful and not stand by the bedroom sliding door at 7 am yelling in farsi. Even when they were alerted that a guest was trying to sleep only a metre away from them, they continued to yell.

We stayed at the Sebel - Chatswood because of its close proximity to to public transport. Firstly, our room was changed from a three bedroom apartment to two 2 bedroom apartments, and it was clear that one of these rooms was not meant to be used by guests. We had to wait for the second room to be available, even after the 2pm checkin time as it was not ready. The 1st room was dirty, the were food crumbs on three surfaces, and dirty glasses in the bathrooms. The balcony was unusable and covered in bags of render. We were incredibly disappointed with our experience and due to this, would hestitate to pay to stay here again.

I've stayed at the Sebel Chatswood on a number of occasions and always found it to be of a very high standard, particularly in regards to cleanliness. This visit however, was disappointing. Apart from the torn and stained bed linen and fingerprints on mirrored wardrobes, there were lollies on the floors. Once I reported these matters they were quickly attended to, which was great. Unfortunately, closer inspection revealed other issues: jam fingerprints on curtains, chipped and cracked floor and wall tiles, a large crack in the nib wall between the kitchen and lounge areas, dirty grout in both bathrooms., dusty surfaces, stains on the couches. I have been left feeling very disappointed after this visit. I love staying in Chatswood when I visit Sydney but perhaps it is time to consider an alternative to the Sebel.

We arrived at 4pm after travelling a long distance with young children to be told our room still wasn’t ready and would be another hour. I would have appreciated a phone call before our arrival to say the room wasn’t ready. The room itself was great and in a good location.

Our family had a great time at The Sebel. The reception staff were so lovely and accommodating. The location was perfect for easy access to public transport. We loved the views from our spacious three bedroom apartment.

I have stayed here many times over many years and I will never stay here again. There was rubbish in the bin from a previous stay, the balcony was prized shut with a block of wood and scaffolding on the balcony - i wasn't advised of work being done, the bed was broken and if you sat on the edge you ended up on the floor, the bathroom had a airvent patched with sticky tape, my internet didn't work and i had to ask twice for a code, there was no one on reception when I left.

Thank you for your feedback from your recent stay. We have been open about the façade works that are occurring, which is why access to the balcony was blocked as a safety measure. I am not understanding as to why this was not communicated to you when booking as we have ensured this information is on our and our partners websites. I have been using the Sebel at Chatswood for literally decades. I love the central location in Chatswood, close to shops and transport. The hotel staff are wonderful and the Units all have a lovely outlook over tree lined North Shore suburbs.

Horrible breakfast and servie

We paid for breakfast $14 per adult per night and received cereal, milk and a popper. Only booked this hotel fon the breakfast and balcony and our balcony was out of order. arrived at 2pm, our room was not ready so had to sit in lobby with 3 kids for almost an hour until room was ready for us to go in. When get finally got into room where was long black hairs left in the bathroom and realised we had no balcony. The whole stay was very disappointing. Will not be staying her again and would not recommend stating here.

We were only here for one night but would happily stay here again. The two bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment was spacious and the staff were helpful. It was in a fabulous location to shopping a even a nice food market on the Friday night was a nice way to relax in our room after a long day! Beds were comfortable and if staying longer the kitchen was well appointed
