Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was ok it there were no towels so we had to ask for towels. Overall for the price it just felt old and a little dirty could do with a good deep clean and revamp.

Room 610. The lobby staff were friendly and attentative as were the bar area staff. The bar andlounge area very inviting and modern. The room was well appointed but not enough power points. There was a long desk with one double power point at one end for the lamp and radio alarm clock, a long way from the bed, no power points that I could see next to the bed side tables. The kettle looked nice n snug on the corner shelving but again, no power point, I had to boil the kettle balanced on the bathroom sink.. I was lucky to get an hour or 2 sleep, my room was lit up by the huge lights outside and around Accor stadium, right across the Rd. The only cover my window had was a loose hanging blind which the lights had no trouble shining out from the sides and bottom. I would suggest blockout blinds that roll down inside a housing/frame. The inside of the frame looked like there may have been one at some point, but not properly replaced . I was too groggy from lack of sleep that I couldn't drive back upto the Newcastle area, so I had to stay another night, in another hotel, to catch up on some sleep to get home. Glad I had my medications with me instead of just enough for one night. The eggs for breakfast were sloppy, I understand and they come in a mix and not freshly made,the same, sorry to say , slop, served at other Accor hotels. I noticed a lot of poached eggs being made fresh and going to patrons. The same basic buffet breakfast is served at the Mecure and other Ibis hotels but different prices. Don't stay at the Budget Ibis they say, stay at the Ibis they say, yes understood, all well and good but it needs to live upto the hype, and my nunber ONE priority is to get a decent nights sleep even if all the bells and whistles aren't apparent. 2 night stay was generally good with a quiet room. After paying for breakfast when checking in that hot breakfast is supplied hot food was warm at best and even freshly ordered poached eggs when they came out were cold. (If this food was at a cafe or restaurant it would be sent back but this not appropriate at a buffet). Variety of food available was good but we paid for a hot breakfast which was not provided. Very disappointed…

Amazing place. Excellent service. Very nice rooms and facilities. Incredible location and surroundings. But the most unbelievable thing is what you pay to use the parking when it's supposed to be included as a hotel guest. Extremely expensive and it's not even in the city center. I was leaving happy with my experience there until they charged me. It's outrageous what you pay for one night since you don't even spend the whole day there... more like a few hours...

Very neat, clean and tidy hotel .Staffs at the reception and bar were very helpful and friendly. My kids love their dolls with Novotel tags from the reception. It was a short stay for me and my family and we love the fact that there was a laundry room for us to use. Definitely coming back to Ibis Olympic Park.
