It’s a huge, beautiful, updated hotel with perfect service / amenities and gorgeous rooms. Not super personalized but flawless. I will say that the price of a coffee and/or glass of wine, etc were all just bit exorbitant (and I am not particularly cost conscious). Think a cappuccino in the lobby was around $15? It’s also a bit removed from most major tourist areas. That said, a great stay and an incredibly impressive building.

Writing this as diamond member with Fairmont lounge access. 1. Arrived at 6 pm. Lounge checkin NOT offered 2. Lounge not opened for breakfast, except for weekends. This is a joke. 3. Serves Johnnie Walker Red Label. This is low. 4. Terrible ventilation. Lifts smell like kitchens. 5. Rooftop bar staff not proactive. When we arrived no one shows us around even though the bar was empty. Poor hospitality. The good things: 1. Very delicious in room dining fried chicken. 2. Huge variety of food for breakfast 3. Connected to Hyundai Mall, IFC and train station. Perfect location. 4. Max Chow, Amy and Dana is helpful and friendly.

In addition, while breakfast at the Fairmont Gold Lounge is provided in accordance with our current operating policy, which offers this service on weekends, we understand that this arrangement did not align with your expectations. We also acknowledge your feedback regarding the overall lounge experience and beverage selection, and these comments have been shared with the relevant teams as part of our ongoing service review. We are equally concerned to learn about the ventilation issues in the elevators, the lack of proactive service at the rooftop bar, and most importantly, the inconvenience caused by the blocked toilet that required a room change late at night. Please accept our sincere apologies for the discomfort and frustration this caused. At the same time, we appreciate you highlighting the positive aspects of your stay, including the in-room dining fried chicken, the breakfast variety, our convenient location, and the service provided by Max Chow, Amy Jung, and Dana Cho. Your kind recognition of our colleagues has been shared with them and their respective managers.
