I recently stayed at Mondrian Seoul Itaewon in a Signature King room booked under my ALL Accor Platinum membership. Overall, I had mixed feelings about my stay. This was the first time I did not receive a meaningful room upgrade as an ALL Platinum member. While I fully understand that upgrades are subject to availability, every other Accor property I have stayed at has consistently made a genuine effort to recognize elite member benefits whenever possible. At Mondrian Seoul Itaewon, however, I was only assigned a room that was slightly larger than the one I originally booked. Considering the hotel’s five-star positioning, this was quite disappointing and did not reflect the level of recognition I have come to expect as a loyal ALL Platinum member. Unfortunately, there were also several maintenance and design issues with the room. One of the power outlets was not functioning, which was inconvenient. More importantly, the bathroom layout was poorly designed. The shower enclosure failed to contain water properly, causing water to flood the bathroom floor and flow directly into the bedroom area. Because there is no proper partition or raised threshold separating the bathroom from the bedroom, even a normal shower resulted in water spreading into the sleeping area. This was not only inconvenient but also created a safety hazard due to the slippery floor. In addition, the bidet was not working, and the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, allowing unpleasant odors to spread throughout the room and significantly affecting overall comfort. On a positive note, I genuinely enjoyed the breakfast. I appreciated that the hotel offered halal food options, which made dining much more convenient for Muslim guests. The breakfast selection was diverse, and the quality of the food was very good. I believe Mondrian Seoul Itaewon has great potential, but greater attention to room maintenance, bathroom functionality, and guest comfort is needed. I also hope the hotel places more value on recognizing ALL loyalty members. With better maintenance and a stronger commitment to elite member benefits, the overall experience would better reflect the standards expected of a five-star Accor property.

The hotel staff was exceptional and informative throughout my entire stay. Everyone was welcoming and professional, making my experience enjoyable from check-in to check-out. A special thank you to Blair, who went above and beyond to assist me during my stay. He was consistently helpful, attentive, and genuinely cared about ensuring I had everything I needed. His outstanding customer service truly set him apart and made a lasting impression. I greatly appreciate his kindness and professionalism and would gladly stay at this hotel again because of the excellent service I received.
