- the room is spacious, clean, and modern. - hotel connected to Yongsan mrt station by skybridge ( 3 minutes walking ). Very easy to commute to seoul tourist destination with mrt. - Ipark Mall ( a big mall ) is connected to Yongsan station. Provide many dining, hobby, and fashion shops at the mall. - breakfast quality and menu spread is good. But menu is the same for our 6 days stay.

I paid for a 5 star hotel & amenities but got a 3 star hotel stay for 3 weeks. The ceiling in the shower was leaking, it was stained so that was my view when I was showering. The walls were scuffed and dirty and the doors had oil stains that wouldn’t come off with Clorox wipes. The couple in the room next door were fighting until 4 AM, I called and complained so they changed my room immediately; I thought they would’ve at least upgraded me to a suite or something for the trouble. With that said, I did appreciate the complimentary water throughout my stay. I won’t be booking my next 3 week trip with Novotel.

I’d like to share some feedback about my recent stay. There were a few things that were honestly quite confusing and disappointing, and I think it’s fair to let you know. First, breakfast was handled very poorly. There were a lot of guests, and after waiting in line at the 2nd floor restaurant for quite a while, we were suddenly told to go up to the 26th floor lounge instead. When we asked the staff why, there was no clear answer — we were just hurried away. This happened to many other guests too. What was really frustrating was that there was no notice outside the restaurant at all. The day before, breakfast was still on the 2nd floor, and at check-in we were also told it would be there. No one ever mentioned the 26th floor. If this change was because of the Korean holiday and the larger number of guests, that should have been explained. It was just very confusing, and the lounge had less space, fewer stations, and a smaller selection than the 2nd floor. Second, on the first day, my room had to be changed at the last minute for the consecutive-stay arrangement. The front desk told us the welcome gift and birthday card would be sent to the new room later, since I’m a hotel member and it was my birthday during the stay. But after waiting all afternoon, going out for dinner, and coming back, nothing had been delivered even by 11 pm. We finally went to the front desk ourselves, and only then did the staff bring out a small black box with just two chocolates and two macarons. I didn’t expect anything fancy, but after paying more for a higher-end hotel, I expected at least the same basic treatment I’ve received at a cheaper ibis hotel in Gangnam, where snacks and a drink were already placed in the room before check-in. The whole process just felt really disappointing. Third, there was construction noise below the hotel, facing the Namsan Tower side, from around 8 am until after 3 pm without stopping. Even on the 30th floor or higher, with the windows closed, the noise was still very clear. Since the site already looked close to completion, this clearly wasn’t a new issue. In cases like this, most hotels warn guests in advance on the website or at check-in. But here, nothing was mentioned beforehand, and we only found out after paying the same rate and arriving. That felt misleading.

Hotel is located right next to Yongsan station, which is great as it connects to most lines. It also has a mall, super convenient for shopping, food and necessities. Room itself was clean, spacious with good layout. Has a small kitchenette (though we did not use it). Most importantly, it comes with washing machine so we could do laundry without going out of the room. Very happy with our stay. No complaints!
