The rooms are clean and well equipped. If I needed something the team were always happy to assist. All the staff are friendly and the house keepers and house attendants always say hello to you when you pass them in the corridors. The hotel itself is super close to Yongsan station and is right next to the ipark Mall and there are tons of cafes and restaurants around. I love staying here.

Although a 5 star hotel I really don’t think it lives up to that rating. No staff to help customers arriving with luggage. Tour buses blocking the entrance every day. And limits to how many times customers can use the pool and sauna. Lobby should be for hotel customers only, not filled with general public people walking by. Check-in and check-out has to be quicker, especially if we already pre-registered.

It was a pity that we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the breakfast because the pre-registration quota is limited. Even room guest can enjoy 10% off, it’s still a bit pricy. It would be appreciated if you could consider a special offer for suite’s guests.

​We booked this property expecting 5-star service, but the reality fell incredibly short. The hotel was entirely unprepared for our arrival, and the lack of basic hospitality was baffling for a luxury establishment. ​Arrival & Service: Nobody greeted us when we arrived, and no assistance was offered with our heavy luggage. The staff was unwelcoming and gave the impression that our check-in was an inconvenience. ​Room Issues: The room wasn't fully set up for 3 guests. We had to call down to the front desk just to request basic essentials like bedsheets, pillows, and drinking water. Furthermore, the shower was poorly designed; the water refused to drain, causing the bathroom to flood after just a few minutes. ​Checkout & Billing: Our departure was just as disorganized. No staff felt the need to assist with checkout, and we were delayed by frustrating "system errors" with their payment processing. ​Summary: A 5-star rating implies a high standard of care and attention to detail. This stay lacked both. We expected much better and unfortunately cannot recommend it. All the other 4* experiences that I previously had in different countries were much better and more prepared to offer a proper experience.

Overall, a really positive stay. The front desk staff were all efficient and friendly and extremely well presented. Pool facilities at both the Novotel and Grand Mercure were fantastic. Bedroom was getting a little worn with visible staining in the carpets, however this did not detract from a great stay.
