check in was simple with pleasant and efficient receptionists. The room was very clean, air con was working overtime with the heat, but it made the room lovely and cool. We have stayed several times before and will return, as the location is good and a good team of staff

We stayed one night,and where kept awake most off the night by workmen ,working in the room next door,banging/talking/coughing etc this was made worse by the fact we had our little dog with us ,who kept barking at the noise.In the morning we spoke to Martin on Reception who was extremely unhelpful and even aggressive about us being disbursed by the workmen,said there was nothing he could do about it!he had checked us in the day before and never mentioned that renovation where being done in the next door room.We have stayed in Mercure hotels many times,and never had a bad experience before.But I doubt if we will stay again
