Me and my partner stayed the night as a base whilst hiking around Switzerland. The room was small and average, bathroom was usable but annoying - a sliding door between bathroom and toilet not great, although you could access coffee machine in lobby whenever there was no coffee machine in the room which also was annoying. Luckily the location was very convenient breakfast was pretty good and staff polite - probably would find an alternative hotel next time as room not very comfortable especially if it is middle of summer as aircon blows mildly cold air out. Additionally to be noted there was waves of strong sewer or drain smells in the room which was very unpleasant.

Stayed here for two nights in July 2026 as part of a 10-day visit to various parts of Switzerland. I would absolutely stay here again if I'm so fortunate as to visit Bern again. The staff is so nice. The rooms are very comfortable. Small but they have what you need in them The breakfast was plentiful, delicious and had a lot more variety than I was expecting for a hotel In this price range. I was expecting just a loaf of bread to cut for slices, some butter and jam. Maybe some cheese and meat and yogurt. But they had so much more than that. They are even very respectful of people with gluten issues. From the train station it's very easy to get to using the number 10 bus towards Schliern getting off at the Eisen??? stop (something like that. I can't quite remember). Local buses should be free with any kind of a train ticket or the hotel will also give you a free transit pass. I think I read somewhere that you can use a reservation email as proof if for some reason a ticket inspector comes on board your tram while you're on the way to the hotel. It's also within walking distance to Old City Bern. We really appreciated the air conditioning as we were there during a heatwave and temperatures were in the low '90s. If you are looking for a budget conscious yet nice place to stay in Bern, this is your spot.

Very helpful staff. Greatly appreciated the A/C. Excellent breakfast. Beds were comfortable. Compact room and the glass around the shower was weird. And wish the second "city tax", requiring payment upon check in even though I'd already paid "city tax" on my paid reservation, had been disclosed and listed when I made the original reservation, as it was an unwelcome and off-putting surprise.

Great experience at Ibis Styles in Bern. Helpful staff, clean hotel with funky modern decor. The room was small but that was expected. Good location for bus access, and only a 20 min walk to the Aare river. They offer dinner until 10pm, which saved us the first night. The food was really good and the breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations!

Place is okay. Service is excellent. Room is quite small even though I opted for superior room. The breakfast was very good with wide options. The coffee temperature is not warm enough. The reception staff are very good,friendly and helpful.

Very nice experience, all the way from booking and making the reservation through to our stay and until check out. Staff was always friendly and conditions were quite good, very good value for money. I had a good experience. Only issue was the bad smell in the room one morning. Thankful for the offer to change rooms and more thankful that the smell was gone once I was back in the evening. Friendly staff, clean room, great variety at breakfast. Thankful that there was ac during the heatwave.
