Regarding the air conditioning, please allow me to explain that our hotel is equipped with what is known as a chilled-water air-conditioning system, as is common in Germany and many other European hotels. The base temperature of the system is controlled centrally, whilst the control unit in the room allows for individual fine-tuning within the specified temperature range. Unlike direct evaporation systems, which are frequently used in North America, for example, these systems are not designed to cool rooms down to 16 or 18 °C, particularly when outside temperatures are extremely high. During your stay, Munich experienced exceptionally high outside temperatures. Under these conditions, our air-conditioning system is designed to achieve room temperatures of around 22 to 24 °C.
