Very enjoyable the only criticism is that no fresh towels

We are delighted with the good marks in almost all categories and the satisfied summary. I do acknowledge, however, that there is still “room for improvement” regarding housekeeping service. Charged breakfast even though not needed

Dear Mr M., Thank you very much for your visit and for taking the time to tell us about your stay at ibis München City Arnulfpark. We regret that your experience with our hotel and our service did not meet your expectations; please allow us to express our sincerest apologies. Regarding the breakfast charge, I would like to point out that you booked a corporate rate that includes breakfast. Other rates, which do not include breakfast, are also available. However, as a one-time exception, we will refund the breakfast portion of your bill, and you will receive a corrected invoice. We would be happy to welcome you again as our guest here in Munich. The hotel charged me alleged damages in a bed frame that happened during normal use/sleeping. I am still shocked with the position of the manager of the hotel, even though I contacted to contest those charges, considering it is the legal duty of the hotel to provide safe, habitable accommodations and maintain their furniture. I have been using Accor services for 20 years and I do not recommend to anyone after this upsetting experience.

Dear Ms C., Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with such detailed feedback. First of all, I would like to say that I fully understand your frustration and disappointment regarding this situation. You are absolutely right: under normal use, a bed should not show any signs of damage. It is also our responsibility to ensure that our rooms are provided in an impeccable and safe condition. In your case, unfortunately, a situation arose that does not meet my standards. Under no circumstances should you have been charged directly without first consulting you and clarifying the matter together. I would like to apologize sincerely for this hasty approach. You also mentioned in an email to my team that you had already noticed something was amiss at check-in. Naturally, reporting this immediately at that time would have been helpful so that I could have checked the condition straight away and avoided any misunderstandings. Nevertheless, this does not absolve me of my duty to handle such situations carefully and fairly. Unfortunately, it occasionally happens that damage occurs in rooms which is not reported immediately. In this case, the defect does not appear to have been identified beforehand, which I deeply regret. It would have been all the more important to seek dialogue with you first, rather than charging you directly. I would like to apologize once again sincerely for the inconvenience caused and for the way this incident was handled. I greatly appreciate your long-standing trust in our brand, and I am sorry that I was unable to live up to this trust in this situation. We have, of course, reversed the charge. To compensate for the inconvenience, we will credit 3,000 points to your ALL Card. We would love to welcome you back as our guest - also to have a chance to prove to you that we can do much better. Very bad smell from either the drains, sink or toilet. Arrived late and was told that there was not housekeeping. I asked whether some disinfectant could be put in the sink / drain. Thus didn’t happen. One plug point didn’t work and no USB sockets. No extra pillows as pilllows were bad. Disappointing!
