late arrival & early departure, so haven't really made use of any of the amenities, but appreciated the comfortable room and bathroom. couldn't get the HDMI or USB ports to work for my work laptop, but for one night I can live with that. I had forgotten that the Swiss power sockets are incompatible with German Schuko, and my US-to-Europe fallback adapter's pins are too thick to fit into the sockets. Having 60W+ USB-C sockets at the desk would have allowed me to get even more work done...

This hotel is perfect for a family weekend. We were warmly welcomed by the Lady at reception upon our arrival (the children even got gifts!) and were given Basel cards which let you use the transports for free and give discounts in many activities. The hotel is conveniently located next to several train lines so one can get to the center and most interest points within 5-10minutes.The area feel safe to walk around. The room for 4, with a double bed and a sofa bed is rather small, but clean. A last word about the breakfast which is delicious and has a decent variety (the children loved the pancake machine) and the restaurant staff who is extremely professional and always ready to help. We will stay again in the future!

Very friendly staff! great service. Great breakfast. The room isn't great from maintenance perspective not housekeeping- the bad close to the wall, the extra bed wasn't set properly (sheet) but the room was clean and comfortable. too bad there isn't eat cleaner and other toiletry.
