When we arrived at the hotel, we were given a room with only one bed for adults and no bed at all for the children, despite the reservation clearly including them. To “solve” the issue, the staff supposedly upgraded us to a superior room, but it turned out to be even worse. Water from the heater was dripping into a container all night long, making constant noise and making it impossible to sleep properly. Overall, it was a very disappointing and frustrating experience, and definitely not what we expected from this hotel.

The hotel is a short walk (20 mins) from the HbF. We stayed for five nights at the beginning of trip. Our room on the sixth floor overlooked Schlossberg and the bus park for tourist and school buses. The hotel was convenient for shops, tourist sights and a surprisingly lively and affordable restaurant scene.

Lovely bar and restaurant area but it is a pity that that there is not much on the menu so we never ate there. Breakfast is good though
