They have a live concert on Fridays that lasts until well past 11pm. We had a "family room". We were allocated on the first floor, so we could hear the loud music and couldn't go to sleep until it was over. The management said they would put the music down but they didn't. They offered to change our room at 10pm when the concert was supposed to finish in 30min so we choose not to. The concert lasted until well passed 11... When I mentioned the music had not gone down the manager rudely said he could not hear me (obviously! Music was so loud!). On top of that the mattresses were old and dirty. The most basic things you would expect from a hotel stay were devastating: rest, a good mattress and cleanliness... Never to go again

We have used the I is Getafe quite a few times and twice with another couple so we have come to appreciate several things. 1) The location for Madrid and also Costco is excellent 2) The hotel has always been clean and comfortable 3) The price for south Madrid is good although food and drinks are pricey This last trip though was less than satisfactory. I reported that the toilet seat in our bathroom was broken and one of the bedside lights was not working. On our return to the hotel that evening, neither had been fixed. Also, they had quite a few people from a tour group and they were definitely not prepared for them at breakfast. By 0900, all the fruit had gone and many of the cold dishes were very low on content. The breads were not replenished and the hot buffet was very slow to replenish.Only one of two coffee machines was working for both mornings and this resulted in long waits for coffee. As a result, we have chosen to use another hotel in the area for our next stay

Overall, the stay was satisfactory. Main complaint is about the breakfast which was very limited, and not well stocked during the breakfast hours. This may have been because there was a large tour group staying at the hotel. The replenishment of items was not timely.

As a dissabled person with motability issues, i was dissappointed that once i had got settled in my accessible room there was no water to the shower or sink, so had to move to another room which was non accessible. This meant that it was difficult for me to access the loo alone and also that i couldnt have a shower. If i had been told when i booked that there wasnt a room available i could have booked elsewhere. It was a waste of money. Very dissatisfied.

Have used this hotel many times over the past 15 years or so. Ideal stop of for journeys or when working in central Madrid with good links. Ask for a room not facing the road as that can be noisy especially first thing.
