Hi Gregor, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to know that you found our reception service and room satisfactory. However, we are very sorry to hear that the noise from the square affected your sleep so severely. We fully understand how frustrating it must have been, especially with the noise continuing until the early hours of the morning. Although the noise came from outside the hotel, we regret that the sound insulation of the room was not sufficient to provide you with the peaceful night's sleep you expected. We truly appreciate your comments, as they help us identify areas where we can improve. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide you with a more comfortable and restful stay. Take care, and best wishes from ibis budget Madrid Centro Lavapies.

The location was amazing. Close to the city center and walking distance from Reina Sofia and Retiro. Metro station is just a minute away and well connected. Room was clean and matched the pictures completely. Rooms were quiet for the most part, of course you could hear some noises, but they weren’t bothering me at all. The staff were very nice and helpful. I would reccomend the hotel for everyone who wants to be close to the center.

We wanted a well located hotel at an affordable price and Ibis delivered. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was like new. It’s a budget hotel but still had what we needed. Would stay there again.

The rooms are really weird, the bathroom door is transparent , so i was staying woth my friend means i will shower in front of her? Tbh they were trying to find us a solution so they gave us the only room with normal door which was the room for people with disabilities, the bathroom was horrible, the hotel lighting is terrible

The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was fabulous. Basic but functional. Rooms facing the road were a bit noisy at times.

Hello there, Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your recent visit to Madrid. As for the windows, they feature soundproof double-paned glass; however, since the property is located next to Plaza de Lavapiés one of Madrid’s main squares there may be times when the noise from the street exceeds the glass’s noise-absorbing capacity. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another memorable experience. Best regards, ibis budget Madrid Centro Lavapies

The hotel is tucked near a Metro station and a popular square that becomes lively on the weekends. 24 grocery store steps away. Room was small, but clean and efficient. Staff were very friendly.

Given the complete absence of any drawers and how little shelf space there was, I felt the room would not have been suitable for two people or for one person staying any length of time. Even as just one person staying for just four nights I found I had to keep various belongings in my case.

Hi Dane, Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I understand how the limited storage space might not have met your needs during your stay. We strive to offer comfort, and I appreciate your feedback on room functionality. Your insights help us improve, and I hope to welcome you back for a better experience next time. tbh the location wasn’t ideal for a solo female trip, in that instance i wouldn’t recommend the lavapies area. the hotel itself was decent, separate shower and toilet which was nice, just basic amenities for a short trip. the staff were lovely

Friendly helpful staff team. Very well located to see all the sites in Madrid. There was a lot of noise from the street, however. Lots of people out eating and drinking and playing music until 4am.

Hi Helen, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you appreciated our friendly and helpful team, as well as our excellent location for exploring Madrid. Your kind words mean a lot to us. We are sorry to learn that the street noise affected your rest. As we are located in the city center, the area can be lively, especially during the evenings. However, our guests' comfort and sleep are our top priorities. Please remember that our team is available 24 hours a day, and we would have been happy to assist you by offering a room change, subject to availability, to help make your stay more comfortable. Thank you once again for your valuable comments, and we hope to welcome you back for an even better experience.
