Hotel Levni Handwritten Istanbul is a beautiful hotel with a lot of charm, a warm atmosphere, and clear potential to become a truly outstanding boutique hotel. The strongest part of the hotel is definitely the people. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help. That human warmth makes a real difference and gave the stay a very positive feeling. The breakfast was also excellent: varied, fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day. The location, the design, and the general atmosphere all create a very promising foundation. At the same time, I believe the hotel could improve significantly by paying closer attention to some practical details. These are not major structural issues, but rather small things that matter a lot in everyday guest experience. For example, in my room there was no wardrobe or proper hook to hang jackets, except in the bathroom. In the second room, there was no hook at all, neither in the hallway nor in the bathroom. Something simple like adding a few well-placed hooks would already make the rooms much more comfortable and practical. The air conditioning also needs more consistency. In my room, it unfortunately did not work properly during the last three days, while in the room next door it was extremely cold regardless of the setting. A hotel of this level would benefit from ensuring that temperature control works reliably and comfortably in every room. The spa area also has great potential, but some details should be fixed there as well. The locks on the storage lockers did not work, and the lock mechanisms for the showers and toilets were also not functioning properly. Again, these are small operational points, but they affect the overall impression and should be easy to resolve with regular maintenance checks. What makes me write this review in a positive spirit is that the hotel already has so much going for it. The team is wonderful, the breakfast is strong, the atmosphere is elegant, and the concept is genuinely promising. With a bit more attention to these small but important details, Levni Handwritten could easily move from being a very good hotel to becoming a truly exceptional boutique hotel. I would be happy to return and genuinely look forward to seeing the team again.

We are both delighted with our stay at the Levni. All the staff were wonderful, pleasant, friendly, efficient and professional. We felt genuinely welcomed. A credit to themselves and their training. Our room was just as described, we loved Being able to see the city view we had and let some fresh air in through the large glass door, well appointed and comfortable. The location could not have been better for us- a few minutes walk to all the major attractions on our list, metro tram station and ferries just moments walk away if needed. The rooftop restaurant overlooking the Bosporus was real treat. If we return to Istanbul we will stay at the Levni.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was disappointed from the moment I opened the door to my room. The room was extremely tiny, with barely enough space to move, and offered absolutely no view. As an Accor Platinum member, I was surprised that no upgrade was provided, especially considering the hotel was clearly not busy. Overall, the stay felt far below the standard I expect from the brand.

Stayed before have it 5star This time very different came with family booked 3 rooms Lack of service and type of room given We had to wait until after seven to order eggs We couldn’t have more than one bottle of water unless we paid and even that took multiple request before receiving Arrive at 8am they said rooms are all Fully booked we had to wait for the until after 2:30 for one and after 3:30 pm fir the other two I checked when I was taking ld fully booked but rooms were available It’s as the whole hotel personal service has collapsed most likely the staff at desk level have had they hands tied I have before this visit highly recommended this hotel but never again it was a complete letdown

The Levni Handwritten, on the side where the Lobby is located is right next to the Marmaray Sirkeci station. Very convenient to go to and from the Asian side. The other exit towards the back of the hotel exits to Ebussud Cadessi , which is very convenient to walk to Gulhane Park and Sultanahmet. You can enter the hotel by using your key card. The breakfast was average. And the dining area was in the basement. Housekeeping was daily, however the fixed shower gels bottles were not refilled during our 6 day stay. And ran empty. The front desk staff was helpful and check in and check out was smooth. We had a comfortable stay and would return again.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Levni Istanbul Hotel Handwritten Collection and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is excellent. It’s incredibly convenient for exploring Istanbul, with many of the major sights and attractions within easy walking distance, while still being surprisingly peaceful. Despite being so centrally located, we had no issues at all with noise and slept extremely well throughout our stay. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented and very well maintained. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into maintaining the property and making guests feel welcome. The staff were a real highlight. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The service felt warm and personal rather than simply professional, and the small gift we received was a particularly thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. Little things like that made the stay feel special. What impressed us most was how consistently good everything was. There wasn’t one particular aspect carrying the experience — the location, cleanliness, comfort, quiet rooms, service and hospitality were all excellent. After spending our days exploring a very busy city, coming back to Levni was genuinely relaxing. It felt like a calm and comfortable place to return to, despite being right in the heart of Istanbul. We have stayed in many hotels while travelling, and Levni is one we would happily recommend without hesitation. The combination of an excellent location, exceptionally friendly staff, cleanliness, comfort and thoughtful service made this a memorable stay. Thank you to the entire team for making us feel so welcome. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we visit Istanbul. A very easy 10/10 from us.

Staff were so helpful, we arrived very early in the morning and were very tired after flight delays and dramas all the previous day. We felt welcomed and nothing was too much trouble to ease the frustrations of international travel. We had a very short stay, but are determined to go back as soon as possible and I think the Levni will be our choice for another stay. Thankyou

The staff were extreme accommodating, flexible and friendly and always happy to help. The room whilst very comfortable was a little on the small side - an extra comfortable chair could have replaced the round stool. The only irritating issue was the air conditioning…appears to be centrally controlled with no option for guests to adjust and when it’s hot outside it doesn’t help to have a stuffy room.

First time in Turkiye. Didn't really know what to expect. Wish we could have stayed longer! Really felt welcomed, from the minute we checked in until we checked out. Julia really took time to explain to us the places and activities we could do while I'm Istanbul. Thanks, too, to the gentleman who checked us in and gave us a wonderful surprise. Thanks to Efe as well and to everyone else who made our stay memorable. As to accommodations, the room was really clean, the bed comfortable, and we had a daily supply of toiletries. Enjoyed dinner at the rooftop and the local beers at the Irish pub. 😊

We stayed in a family room which had a nice mezzanine for our kids. The stairs up to it were steep and the ceiling low so good for kids ages around 7-12. The room was very quiet and comfortable. There are lots of restaurants nearby and it’s about a 10 minute walk to the main sites around the Hagia Sofia.

We stayed at Levni Handwritten Collection for a few days on our first trip to Istanbul. Ahmad and Cihan welcomed us on our first day and took us on a tour around the hotel and recommended several attractions. We accidentally left a jacket in the room of which they located for us and arranged a courier to send back to us — all pretty seamlessly. I also like it that they have a WhatsApp messaging number and are very responsive. If I am back in Istanbul, I would be happy to stay again as location is also excellent — walking distance to the main attractions — Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and also the Bosphorus.
