I rang up the day before to see if I could get a room upgrade they said they would talk to the manager and look into it for me but it will be based on availability. When I arrived to check-in, they said that there was nothing on a higher floor and there were no room upgrades available. So I looked on my app and I found that I could book and upgraded room so they must have still had availability when I went back to reception they looked on the computer and I did get a room upgrade and it was on a high floor as a platinum member with Accor you are entitled to a room upgrade if they are available, I should not have to fight for entitlement every time I go to an Accor hotel And I definitely should not be lied to by staff.

In this instance, the complimentary upgrade was followed-through correctly in accordance with your membership perks. We sincerely apologise that we were unable to accommodate your preference for a higher floor and that the upgrade did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your disappointment; however, our One Bedroom Suites are predominantly located on the lower sections of both of our buildings, which unfortunately limited our ability to offer a higher-floor option within this room category. We are sorry to hear that you found the team to be rude. At Peppers Broadbeach, we take customer service very seriously and it is disappointing that you had a negative interaction with our staff. My son had his soccer tournament in Gold Coast and I booked a 79sqm 1 bedroom suite from Wednesday till Sunday. I requested and confirmed to have 2 single beds when someone called me 1 week before arrival. I also called one more time in the morning prior to the late arrival and confirmed the room would be with 2 single bed. As usual, it turned out to be one king bed and an extra pull up/sofa bed. The sofa bed mattress sunk down and I ended up having a sore back after my second night. I had to put an extra pillow for extra support. This is quite a different Peppers that I used to know when we used to spend once or twice a year in Broadbeach and Noosa.

Having specifically confirmed on two occasions that the suite would be prepared with two single beds, we understand how frustrating it must have been to arrive late and find a king bed with a sofa bed instead. More importantly, we’re very sorry to hear that the sofa bed was uncomfortable. Please be assured your comments have been shared with the relevant teams for review regarding the condition of the sofabed and having the correct bedding configuration for your stay. Love the location. Rooms are well appointed. Gym is well equipped but could do with a freshen up and some mats. Air conditioning a bit frustrating as only goes down to 19 degrees.

On a positive note the staff were amazing. Our room was terrible. The carpet had burn marks all over it, the blinds were mouldy and it appeared like it was half painted.

It was a wonderful stay as usual ... we were put into a beautiful room with the most amazing outlook. The kids had a fantastic time at the pool, beach and surrounding shopts.

The stay was fine, I tried calling the front desk to request an early check in. No one answered the phone. I sent an email to the hotel after the stay requesting a tax invoice for parking that I paid for, and have not heard back. The communication with this hotel is embarrassing for your chain and below the standard of other hotels. You need to do better.

We had a few challenges in that our large family group had been split across the 2 peppers building. We were constantly moving through the restraunt and cafe streets to move between building. It was suggested as helpful so we could access all pools. So know that you only get access to the pool linked with your building and they are not all as nice as each other. Rooms are great with good view. If you want a city holiday this works. Of you are after a relaxing tropical holiday, keep looking.

The location was good, restaurants and cafes close by. We were unable to use the safe & microwave oven until the repair person fixed them both on day 2. We had 2 kids with us and wifi was unusable, even the premium wifi for members. We were also unable to use our iPads in the main bedroom to watch shows, also no tv in master bedroom which we expected. King bed was 2 singles pushed together with hard bit in the middle. This was an expensive hotel for the area that didn’t deliver. Moved to another hotel on the final day with none of the above issues and cheaper with better location

Check in could be better parking not explained

The outdoor balcony hadn't been cleaned. There was cigarette ash all over the floor and broken glass. I found a toe nail clipping on the rug and a dirty sock under the lounge.
