Elanor from the reception greeted us this morning at 7 am and was absolutely charming and even allowed us to park our car in front of the hotel . She must not have realised that the French tend to sit and eat much longer than others and it did not occur to us to tell her. Mea culpa. 2 hours later when we returned to our car we found a note from the police telling us that we were not allowed to park in front of the hotel more than 10 minutes. I spoke to Michael, I believe he was the concierge and apologised for the trouble we may have caused. Michael could not have been more gracious and explained the parking dilemma to us. Thumbs up to Elanor, Michael and Vadim from the restaurant for your professionalism and genuinely caring about our experience at your hotel.

I am pleased to read that you once again enjoyed our location, accommodation and facilities, and that our restaurant wait staff took such thoughtful care of your dietary needs. I do, however, understand your disappointment regarding the inability to redeem complimentary stay nights back-to-back at the same hotel. While these conditions are set by the ALL loyalty programme, I fully appreciate how frustrating this can feel from a guest perspective, particularly for our loyal members. Your comments have been noted and will be shared through the appropriate channels. Thank you also for your suggestion regarding additional incentives linked to our sustainability initiatives. There seemed to be some training issues on check-in. Our package included parking but I was asked to pay for it upfront. This was later sorted out but it was unnecessary and slightly concerning. The food quality wasn’t 5 star but neither was the quality of food options outside the hotel. That was surprising for an area such as the Gold Coast. Otherwise, staff were pleasant and everything else went along ok.

After 8 years of no holidays, my husband and I had finally taken a long weekend and chose to stay at the Sofitel. We had the most comfortable, luxurious bed, ocean views and amazing customer service from EACH & EVERY STAFF MEMBER. Everyone was kind and attentive, the hotel was clean and well located just a short walk to restaurants, shopping and the beach. The pool was amazing with pool side food and drink services. And the pastries at the breakfast buffet were to die for. I especially loved the unlimited coffee included in the breakfast. Thank you Sofitel for an amazing experience.
