Need to Step Up there Game

We have stayed in most of the Sofitels in New Zealand and Australia and this Sofitel has to be the worst. It was like we were staying in a 3 star hotel. When we asked to have our room upgraded they were not helpful and lied to me on several occasions as a Platinum member you are entitled to get a complimentary upgrade if available which they told me it was available when they thought I was going to pay for it then realized I was a Platinum member then they lied and said nothing was available. To make things worse I ended up using my suite upgrade then they charged me for it which put my account in negative occurring fees after taking a while to refund me... This Sofitel has no lounge and the benefits for Platinum are not worth it. TO SAY WE WERE DISSAPOINTED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!!!

Visit was OK but not as good as expected and had a few issues and thought it was expensive

I can see my Duty Manager did discount one night's valet parking charge on your final invoice upon departure. We have now gone ahead and refunded a further $45 back to your Visa card on file as a gesture of goodwill. A copy of the invoice has been emailed to your separately for your perusal. 1. wifi/internet access is not complementary by default 2. extra bed added to the room was very uncomfortable 3. house keepers knock the door rudely to check mini bar consumption even before the checkout time which doesn't make sense given the deposit has already been put on hold 4. facility is old and not maintained well
