We look forward to our holidays at the Sofitel in Broadbeach, as in the past our room was spacious, spotless and the bed very comfortable. We also enjoy the thick fluffy towels. The staff at the reception desk and in the restaurants cannot be faulted when it comes to politeness, friendliness and helpfulness. The breakfasts are the best we have encountered anywhere on our travels.

Upon checking in (which took around 30 minutes despite being a Gold Member with priority checkin), our $200 security deposit was charged to two different cards as the first attempt 'didn't work'. Both did in fact work so we paid the deposit twice. One was refunded upon checkout but we are still chasing the return of one $200 amount. Repeated communications with the hotel have not resolved this matter and it has now been over a month. Terrible service!
