Upon arrival at 2.10pm we were advised the room wasn’t ready and would be another 45 minutes until we could check-in. When we were finally advised at 3.30pm that our room was ready we found that the cot we had ordered for our 1 year old was actually a trundle-bed with no sides. The room itself was ok, but not clean - eg, sand on the dining chairs from last guests, spiderwebs and rubbish in balcony area, not to mention a gigantic piece of loose carpet laid down in the lounge area for some reason. The balcony view was of the aircon units and the garbage bins. The pool was nice and location is great but wouldn’t stay here again. Not to mention the $200 hold still hasn’t been lifted from my card a week later.

Not all of our rooms are on high floors and much to some guests disappointment a couple of our 1 bed units are on the 1st floor. Very good apart for one aspect

I would have rated 8 or 9, except the apartment caused me severe itching. The air conditioner vents were extremely dusty and dirty. It seemed there was a build up over several years without being cleaned. Your maintenance worker cleaned them for us. Apart from this, the apartment is excellent. I would please suggest more thorough and regular cleaning. Also, carpet similar to that in the lift areas would be better and make the apartment feel newer and more clean.

We had 7 nights in 2 bedroom. Initially our apartment was very small & tired, although on a high level we requested. We spoke to Scott about being unhappy with the room & he was incredibly helpful and understanding. We were moved to a huge room with wonderful view & that made our stay amazing and more comfortable with 2 adults & 2 older children. We were right at the doorstep of restaurants & oasis shopping centre including supermarket. Just a couple of minutes walk from tram. The air con was fantastic being ducted in all rooms not just living or main room like alot of hotels. Everything was clean, staff friendly and we had views of ocean, up to surfers and to mountains & noise was not an issue even on weekend. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Well located and appointed. Close to transport, eateries, beach. Single bedroom Apartment was compact and well appointed with the balcony over looking the park. My only criticism was the lack of service to change linen, towels and or make bed. This minor inconvenience didn’t alter our experience as we are capable of making our bed and asking for fresh towels if required.

Smelly and tired

Upon entering the apartment (1701) we were hit with the smell of stale cigarette smoke. The unit itself was tired - walls scratched, furniture broken. Tv remote did not work (despite new batteries), WIFI did not work adequately. There looked like a bloody handprint on the shutters in the en-suite and remains of graffiti on the shower screen in the main bathroom. We complained about the smell and the standard of the room and the room was sprayed with air freshener - which improved the smell for a short while. We were told we could not change rooms because there were no others. We have been Accor members for many years and this was the poorest standard room we have ever stayed in - I will never stay here again.

We were stuck in queensland due to work issues with the Border changes, we had stayed at the Mantra on the park before so popped in to see if there was any rooms available. Scott the GM of the property & Brianna were so hopeful & bent over backwards to find us a room for the duration of our stay. Customer service was 10/10. Big thanks from us to these 2 staff members.

Excellent , the apartment was fitted with quality fittings eg very comfortable bed and lounge suite quite often rental properties are fitted out with cheap fittings, this was not the case this time.
