Wow how loud are the birds outside in the park, screeching noise...... will not be back sorry. Aircon also noisy.

I am sorry that the birds in Victoria park negatively effected your enjoyment of the property. They certainly are very noisy at dawn and dusk. Thankfully they eventually settle down. Lovely stay but the apartment could do with some TLC.

Hotel is in need of update. Room 1704 well below standard. Not clean at all. Needs update if owner expecting paying customers. Disappointed because I asked for a clean room and got 1704, with dirty, floor tiles, kitchen ware, sofa, no pantry, limited bath room linen, no bedroom TV, lounge TV not working properly, bed needs replacing. No value for money.

Parking was in allot Caged spaces but found that these spots were taken by random visitors to site so forced to find others. Also after hours check in a little confusing with no one in attendance from 8 pm

Ideal location with all amenities only a short walk away. The customer service at reception was first class and friendly. Our one bedroom apartment was beyond expectations in regard to size and balcony vista. The room was very clean and well appointed. My family will definitely return.

This hotel is not up to the standards that we are accustomed to. The rooms are small, the furniture old, the bed in one room apartment is too small (double) and mattress is noisy. We normally stay at the Mantra Serana Grand Broadbeach which I would rate 5 star compared to On The Park. Location is better but that’s all.

I didn't realise until I checked in that it was an Accor property, so I got the added bonus of free wi-fi. The only reason I knew it was an Accor Property was because on the checkin form it asked for my Accor number. I didn't even know that I had that I had the bonus of free wi-fi until I called up the next morning for the wi-fi password and I was told "Wi-fi is for Accor members only". It may be an idea for check-in staff to kindly ask their guests if they are Accor members and offer the wi-fi password then. I was suprised that I wasn't advised of it at check-in considering I had to pull out my card to put my membership details on the form. Front office/Reservation staff could be friendlier. A smile is free and a small greeting of good morning, or good afternoon is great way to say, hello - I'm free to check you in, I'm free to answer your question, I'm free to assist you. There was no small talk at all. I felt I was just a person picking up a key, and dropping it off. I'm not sure if it's because it's a self-contained apartment and we take care of ourselves. I have stayed in Mantra Hotels for work, it's been a different experience, a much more pleasant interaction with staff. There was a housekeeper/cleaner we kept meeting in the elevator. We always had a chat with her, she was lovely. The location was great, walking distance the beach and nearby restaurants, supermarket etc. The only negative about the location was Room81 - Restaurant/Bar at a property across the street closer to the roundabout, was playing very loud music. It seemed to be a very open venue. Even after an exhausting day out at Movieworld, my teenage girls were having a hard time falling asleep because it was too loud, even through their closed windows and door. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious, plenty of room for the four of us. I really appreciated the washing matching and dryer being in the apartment. The apartment was well kept and had everything we needed from a fully equipped kitchen to the simple bathroom amenities. I especially liked the view overlooking the park. This was my first time staying in the Broadbeach area, I've always stayed in Surfer's Paradise area and I prefer Broadbeach. I will stay here again next time we holiday at the Gold Coast.

Improper safety processes

Hotel was painting on the floor I was placed on during my stay and did not sufficiently ventilate the rooms to ensure they were habitable. I got back to the room one night and found the place stunk of turpentine which caused my eyes to burn. I was forced to stay outside on the balcony for 4 hours with all the doors/windows open to clear the air sufficiently so that I could fall asleep. Managements response was summed up as: "We informed you with a piece of paper on check-in, we will not compensate you in any way."

During your visit over 40 doors were painted with no other guests or residents reporting negative effects. Prior to this another 80 doors had been painted throughout the property also without any concerns or symptoms reported. Any guests that raised potential concerns prior to the painting with the Mantra team were relocated to floors that were not being painted. It is terribly disappointing we were not able to do this for you prior to the painting taking place. It is something we would have happily done for you and I am sure this would have negated the issue you have raised. Again, please accept my sincere apologies. The only issue I had there was nowhere to unpack clothes except hanging space some drawers would have been helpful the two bedside tables not sufficient . The other issue the outside dining setting very dated holes in the seats and the table very unbalanced making it hard to eat off. Everything else was great .
