Major utility works near the hotel have caused occasional interruptions and fluctuations in the city’s electricity supply. These place considerable strain on our air-conditioning system, and some equipment requires additional time to restart and return to normal operation. As such disruptions are unpredictable, the issue may not always be apparent before a guest enters the room. Following your decision not to continue the stay, we refunded the full amount for all unused nights. Only the first night was retained under the no-show conditions, as the room had been reserved exclusively for you and remained unsold. The ibis budget concept may be simple and affordable, but cleanliness must never be compromised. The bathroom should have been cleaned whenever housekeeping was requested, and the presence of mould is unacceptable. Your comments have been reviewed with our housekeeping team so that the necessary corrective actions can be taken. I also apologise that breakfast items were not replenished proactively. Guests should not need to repeatedly request food that is included in the service. Regarding your reservation, room-only availability and rates can vary by date, which may explain why the stay had to be split, though I understand how inconvenient this was. I regret that we did not provide the consistent standards expected from an international brand.
