We were on edge after Air New Zealand had bumped us off our Business Class flight from Brisbane because of “operational issues” which meant they had half sold a 777 and decided to replace it with an A21, to save money. I managed to get us an earlier flight in economy which had the worst service believable. So the friendliness and smiles of your staff helped get our minds back on track and in holiday mode.

Nice hotel , breakfast was good, eggs have a little room for improvement, but not bad. The hotel staff was very nice and the little gym was pleasant. I wish they had a sauna but realize it's an airport hotel, but sure would be nice if they had pool, hot tub and sauna to really top off my stay!

I was too tired to go to the restaurant for dinner, but couldn't get the QR code to scan for room service, and the room service booklet had no mention of a phone number to use to order. Finally I discovered a "room service" button on the phone, hidden under the receiver so you couldn't see it until you picked it up. Perhaps I would have figured it out sooner if I wasn't so tired! The room service was prompt and delicious though. The other annoying thing was that unless you were an Accor member, the wifi access was terrible, almost at dialup speed and capacity (I couldn't even use the AirNZ app to check in for my flight the next morning). However, when you logged in to your Accor account you got normal wifi access. I discovered this through trying the non-member access first as I couldn't be bothered trying to remember passwords etc. It was so horrible however, that I gave up pretty quickly and went through the member login. I thought this was an unnecessary "punishment" to non members and put me off Accor as a brand.
