Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean, bed extremely comfortable. Central location close to supermarkets, hotels and the hop on hop off bus if that is how you would like to tour Auckland.

Terrible stay unhelpful rude staff

I booked a two night stay, through Accor, when i arrived at Ibis I was told only one night was booked, I had spoken to the lady on the front desk the day before and she confirmed I had booked 2 nights Saturday and Sunday night. the man at reception was extremely rude and spoke in a very unprofessional manor, he was not interested in any way of helping us, At the time I couldn't log on to my Accor account so couldn't show my booking details, my daughter and I had to sleep in the car for the night as i couldn't afford any other accommodation that was available, and everything seemed to be booked out. We stayed there on the Sunday night the rooms are tiny, old and run down defiantly not worth the price per night. we paid for parking through the hotel but they forgot to mention that every time you leave the carpark it costs you $30 each time. we Will not be staying at this place ever again..

P{ease can you provide me with the confirmation your received from Accor stating 2 nights as I need to investigate this further as all information that I can see for this booking states only 1 night was booked. Discounting wifi and lift often out of order

The wifi provided has limited usage and frequently got disconnected. The room is terribly small and I can hardly place my suitcase. One of the lifts is often out of order. The only advantage is its location.

Smelly room

Many pluses like location and price points but was very disappointed by the room. Smelt so bad. Like rotten eggs. I have had pleasant stays before at the hotel but this stay was ruined by the room I was allocated. I would have appreciated a higher floor room at the other end of the hotel facing the road, like I had previously. I doubt I would be returning, I'm sure City Life will accommodate me better and have rooms that don't stink.
