Great hotel 2 min walk from terminal. Breakfast was good with very nice coffee, a little bit of building work going on at reception but due to finish soon, it did not affect our stay. Will be back again.

The hotel decided to bill me for use of a mini-bar without justification. I raised it with management and received an apology but not a refund! Otherwise the stay was fine and uneventful including their car valet services.

For a platinum member with your organisation, this day was not satisfactory. The staff were non-existent at checkout. We had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come and check us out. The room was small old dirty and not want a platinum customer should be experiencing. Although the property is under renovations the room was not satisfactory for four people. The beds were small. The bathroom wasn’t clean. We had an accessible room that was terrible . The award points that I have been given for my stay is totally unsatisfactory. 24 points? We paid over $260 for this room. Terrible. I don’t think I would stay at this property again. There are much better other properties.

Good Restaurant not there a pain and no bar disappointing

Air New Zealand provided us 2 x rooms for the inconvenience at short notice to transit in Auckland for 14 hours in our way to Argentina. The rooms meant to be ready from 7am to 7pm. We arrived at 7:10am and the rooms werent ready. The check in officer told us to go to the 2nd floor and have breakfast, and that wasnt covered by ANZ however we'll receive 20% off. My son and his partner had a cupp of tea and small muffin. When we checked out at 6pm, we were charged NZ$170 for 5 x breakfasts. I told the check out officer that we were promised 20% discount by her peer in the morning. She said that no inoration was relayed to her, she called her manager and he said - nonsense, there is no discount. I paid and left. As former Accor memeber, felt insulted. I was panning to return to the program, but this process put my mind back.

I do understand that this can be frustrating and we do our very best to accommodate our guests at this time. I would highly recommend signing back up to Accor Hotels as when you do grow through our Loyalty program more benefits become available such as early check-in (FOC) Discounts on bookings, dinners and you can earn point to which you can use as currency for rooms or even in any Accor Property Restaurant. Unfortunately I’m sure due to upgrading/renovations to the hotel, service in the restaurant was very slow and cold due to the air conditioning being turned down for the staff!! Plus the plumbing in our room, ie toilet decided to erupt with lots of bubbles in the toilet and over the bathroom floor with a smell of sewage, not at all pleasant.

Missed bar as construction was going on. Air con in room did not work. But food in restaurant tho expensive was good

Very good! Bar was limited but the range of breakfast on offer was really good. Staff their usual fabulous selves. Just in the bathrooms consider having hand wash in the bathrooms.

Renovation dilemma

The hotel is well located and easy 2 minute walk to the terminal, during our stay however there were renovations of the bar and restaurant and this was not done well, the food was very hit and miss, and service in the bar which was all relocated to the second floor board room.

My stay at the Novotel was perfectly satisfactory. The room was small but had all I needed for one night. It was opposite the elevator which wasn't ideal but again, fine for just one night. I didn't eat at the temporary restaurant so I can't comment on that. Given that you can rent an entire apartment in the city for the same price per night I think it's overpriced for what it offers.

Superbly located across the road from the international terminal, the Novotel Auckland Airport was perfect for a one day flying business trip. Arriving on a midnight flight, I was tucked up in bed within the hour with absolute peace and quiet. The rooms are very clean, beds comfortable and bathroom sparkling. Breakfast and buffet dinner were satisfactory - nothing outstanding however it's not a fine dining restaurant and doesn't aim to be. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and very willing to assist with any query. The gym is well equipped with a broad range of weight machines and cardio equipment. Current renovations didn't really impact on my stay at all - once they've finished it will only enhance what is already an above average business hotel. Thank you.

Everything was smooth and according with my requests, needs and expectations. I had a challenging narrow flight schedule but I was anyway able to enjoy my stay at the hotel. Everything was coloured by having a room without a walk in shower. I was very tired when I arrived and found I had to put myself in danger to take a shower. You provided only a metal stool to try and clamber into the bath and, worse, out of it. Frankly you need to rip all those baths out; it’s an accident waiting to happen. Everything else was fine, but the risks to my joints were so distressing that I really can’t think past them.
