Spent one night at the Novotel before my early morning flight back to Australia, and it couldn’t have been easier. The direct connection to the international terminal is a genuine lifesaver — no shuttles, no car parks, just walk straight in from arrivals. Exactly what you need after a long day of travel. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the blackout curtains and soundproofing were far better than I expected given how close the runways are. Slept brilliantly. The highlight of the stay was the room service — honestly outstanding. The food arrived hot, well-presented, and tasted like it had come from a proper kitchen rather than a reheated airport trolley. Generous portions too. It’s rare that room service genuinely impresses me, but this did. Staff were friendly and efficient at check-in, and the whole experience felt effortless from start to finish. If you’ve got an early flight out of Auckland, just book it here. You won’t regret it.
