this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have experienced. We were not informed before arrival that parking required advance booking and was already fully booked. Gold member benefits were poorly delivered – no welcome amenities, no bottled water despite being mentioned at reception, and the welcome drink could not be properly used due to bar restrictions. We also found the bar area closed and completely dark despite being accessible by lift, with no signage or warning. Overall, communication, member recognition and service standards were far below expectations. As this was the first hotel of our New Zealand trip, it left a very poor impression of the Accor brand.
