I had been traveling to NZ for business for last two years and had been staying in multiple hotels like Sebel in Manukau, Doubletree in Karaka and a local run hotel in Tauranga. So far, Mercure Queen St Auckland is my worst experience. Firstly the rubbish in the toilet is not clear on my fist night after check in, and the rubbish remained unclear on the second night, my coffee and tea cup is not washed for the entire 3 nights that I stayed. Secondly, the car park in level 2 is too unfriendly as there is only a single remote control for the gate, I have to walk to reception each time I need to park or leave the carpark as I don’t have a local NZ mobile to call them. Will not recommend to my family and friend and defitely will not back here again.

Mercure Auckland had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, pillows were comfortable, and setting the aircon to my preferred temperature allowed me a good sleep from the start. I love a rain shower head too. Breakfast was fine with good coffee, and it is only a short walk to the city centre. All very pleasant.

We enjoyed staying at the hotel with a nice room and plenty of space. However, parking was quite inconvenient, we had to ask the staff to open the gate for us every time. We understand that location is an unavoidable issue. We are very grateful for your helpful service.

Check in experience poor, very small area and only one person available. The room itself was generally ok, bathroom was surprisingly modern and spacious. Room had a balcony but I have no idea why, not an appealing view. Not convinced the A/C really worked. I was here a grand total of 9 hours but I probably wouldn’t book again.

No bottled drinking water. Gym was not functional but was advertised like it was available. Corridor outside the rooms was too dark. Too small rubbish bin in the room. Can here noise from other rooms.

The hotel is in a good location. The room was clean with comfortable beds. However, the room was small. The breakfast buffet is more in line with what you’d find at an Ibis budget hotel. The Mercure only employs one night staff and each of the three nights I was there I required help but had to wait until staff member returned from somewhere else.
