Air-conditioning didnt work properly. Shower didnt work with very low water pressure Check in process was bad . Room was given after a 45 min wait even though Check in time was around 4.30 pm .

Nice hotel and good location but it needs more renovation and better facility care. The handles were hanging with one screw at the bathroom and the room wasn’t cleaned well. The breakfast was really nice and the manager was there all the time and syncronized everything

Always enjoy the Hotel Grand Mercure in Dubai City, for a short layover . The place is perfectly located. The staff is very competent and friendly. The rooms are well equipped with the most comfortable beds. I really enjoy the well-furnished gym and the pool options.

I have been to this hotel once before around more than a year ago. The experience at that time was good. Unfortunately, this visit has been very disappointing. My first room I booked was having small flies in the toilet and they were always there. I booked a different room for my next night stay rather than extending the same room. I was extremely irritated when I received a call at 1:30 AM from the hotel asking if I will check out today!!! I believe that was a very inappropriate time to call your customer trying to sleep and just ask if I will check out. I had a flight at 7:40 AM and was not able to sleep after the call. Overall, it was not a good stay for me. Breakfast was good with nice options.

The hotel is supposed to be a 5-star hotel, but I would give it at 3 stars at most. The staff is very nice and helpful, but the carpet in the room is stained and shower moldy due to the lack of air circulation. The free airport shuttle was a nice extra. Solid airport hotel for a deceit price, but don’t expect 5 stars.

I received an early check-in and an unexpected room upgrade, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the room furniture is quite old and needs to be renewed. The carpet was dirty and full of stains, and while the breakfast was quite good, it was far from a 5-star hotel standard.

We had a very pleasant stay at Grand Mercure Dubai City and, compared with several other hotels we have stayed at, this was genuinely a very good experience. The hotel is clean, comfortable and very conveniently located, particularly for the airport and metro. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, and overall the hotel offered very good value for a stay in Dubai. As Accor ALL Gold members, we appreciated that our room upgrade was provided automatically without us having to request it. This was a nice recognition of our loyalty status. The only disappointment was the check-in experience. When we arrived at night, there was a very heavy queue, apparently because of flight cancellations, and only two staff members were dealing with a large number of guests. The dedicated Accor ALL priority check-in desk was unmanned. I waited at the priority desk for around half an hour before eventually being told that I would need to join the normal queue. As a Gold member, I would have expected the priority desk to be staffed, particularly during such a busy period. Airlines, for example, generally make sure their Gold and Platinum members have access to a dedicated priority service even when there are significant disruptions. I think Accor could apply the same principle during peak periods. Apart from this, everything else about the stay was fantastic. We enjoyed the hotel, the location and the overall service, and would certainly consider staying here again. With more consistent recognition of Accor ALL Gold and Platinum members at check-in, the experience would have been excellent.
