I had a wonderful time at the Sofitel Cairo Downtown Hotel. This hotel deserves it's 5 stars and I would highly recommend it. All areas of the hotel were to a very high standard and the heated pool was remarkably quiet. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay a pleasurable one. There are plenty of high quality restaurants n site providing lots of food choices and breakfast was fantastic with fresh food cooked to request. On one occasion I asked if I could have poached eggs, which clearly wasn't anything the breakfast team were used to cooking, but I was asked to sit down and poached eggs would be brought to me. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised when I was brought the best poached eggs I have ever had!! They were cooked to perfection!!

I would like to sincerely thank the entire team at Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile for the warm welcome and for inviting me to experience such a beautiful stay. I truly appreciated all the special touches, the wonderful extras included, and the exceptional hospitality throughout my visit.
The view was absolutely beautiful, the room was lovely and comfortable, and the service was impeccable. Everyone made me feel very welcome and well taken care of.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time during this stay to discover the spa, which is something I would have loved to experience. This simply gives me another reason to come back!
I will definitely return with great pleasure, hopefully next time with more time to fully enjoy everything the hotel has to offer.
I also shared my experience and gave the hotel some lovely publicity on my Snapchat, where I have a large number of followers. I was very happy to share this beautiful experience with my community.

I visited Cairo from 21st to 24th September 2026 on a business trip. The overall experience from the Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile is an absolute 10/10 and I am not exaggerating in anyway. In a sentence I can describe it as "hospitality, management, services and cleanliness at its absolute best!". I need to add that I had all my meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in the hotel's restaurant and I found the quality and variety as an absolute 10/10 experience also. Also I used the gym facilities as also the outside swimming pool.

We stayed at the Sofitel in September, and it was truly a pleasurable experience. From the prompt and knowledgable concierge team that made booking restaurants and excursions a breeze to the deeply attentive staff and tasty breakfast, it hit the mark on all fronts. Lobby full of smoking smell as they allow for smoking, so could not use the lobby at all. Also, the noise from the boats at the front of the hotel is crazy and continues up to early morning every night.

From the moment we arrived my husband & I were treated like honoured guests. Our room was spacious, very comfortable & had a lovely view of the Nile. Staff were always helpful & polite. Food in the hotel restaurants was excellent. Highly recommended for a wonderful stay in Cairo.

Great stay, original room allocated was very poor, not clean and in poor condition - Yousef Jacob on front desk resolved it in minutes with no issue - excellent response and support. Final room was as booked and very good, and a great view. Staff in lounger were outstanding, Ahmed at breakfast was superb. The service in the afternoon and evening were also high standard, Ahmed, Abu Bakr, Abdou, Nermin and Eslam were outstanding - so much so we had no need to go anywhere else.
My only issue: Room cleaning was very hit and miss - the room was always clean but every day we either had no hand towels, bath robe missing or half a toilet role - more inconvenienced than major but none the less, it became a slight bet as to what we may have when we returned to the room. Last, there is no point providing a coffee machine if you cannot provide coffee pods....it's a pointless item.

Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at the hotel. From the moment I arrived, the whole staff were welcoming, friendly, and professional , I would like to thank Mr. Mazen and Mr. Omar.
The reception team made the check-in process smooth , and were always helpful whenever I needed anything. (I would like to thank also Mr. Ahmad)
The hotel was very clean . The housekeeping service was excellent, and I would especially like to thank Mr. Shaker from the housekeeping team for his great work, attention to detail, and friendly attitude.
The concierge team was also very helpful and professional (specially Mr. Ahmad helped us in choosing touristic places) , the team is always ready to assist with any questions or requests.
I would like to give special thanks to the entire breakfast team. A special mention goes to the lady preparing the eggs, who was always kind and made everything fresh to order, and the lady preparing the fresh dough and pastries. The chefs and the whole breakfast team did an excellent job.
Overall, the service, cleanliness, and hospitality made my stay very comfortable and enjoyable.
