Great experience from start to finish. Staff was lovely and extremely helpful and accommodating, especially the few people we met working concierge. From making reservations to setting up in-room PCR tests, there was no request big or small and each of them were carried out with a smile!

It was good but really great at the end of my trip because they gave me a suite.

First when we checked in the reception asked for tips which I got shocked he said lock after me I give you nice room second thing we stayed 4 extra nights we want out when we come back some one was in front of the room ask us for the payment we say okay give us some time the reception called us more than 5 times asking for payment and they had credit card as Guarantor

Mostly it was wonderful experience for me and my wife. However, there were problems with some staff members, but the managers tried to please us by sending coffee maker to us, and apologize to us. Most of the Staff were professional and friendly. There is one incident where me and wife were heading to lobby to ask questions What are the best transportations to visit the pyramids? While we reach the front desk, the lobby attendant "ENGY" was her name asked my wife if I was harassing her? I was shocked! My wife simply said that I'm her husband, and we are just here to ask questions. Without even apologizing to me, she answered out questions with a fake smile. I would describe the lobby attendant "ENGY" as rude and unprofessional. I do understand harassing is a serious issue, but there some signs should have given "ENGY" I wasn't "harassing" my wife. The first one, I was walking with my wife. The second one, if I was "harassing" my wife, my wife would have said something, she didn't need her help. I think the lobby attendant "ENGY" needs more training on how to treat clients with utmost respect! There is another incident from "ENGY". When we were checking out, one of the door attendant took care of our luggage while we were in the lobby checking out. I assumed the luggage was outside waiting for us, me and my wife went outside to see our luggage we couldn't find it. I went back to the lobby to ask about our luggage, and there that lobby attendant "ENGY". I didn't even wan to talk to her but asked if I needed something. I asked where our luggage, she said it was outside now. I went back to find out that it is not outside. It came after 5 minutes. My issue with "ENGY" that she didn't even try find out where our luggage, any lobby attendant would at least picked up the phone and asked who ever picked our luggage where it is? I don't understand who hired her to do that job!

Treated badly at sigon (sushi restaurant)

I was treated in a very respectable manner while checking in but at night at the sushi restaurant they refused to apply discount as an all member and made me pay full price and the manager was very rude about it and when i requested to see why he refused to apply my discount he kept making excuses and this really ruined my stay making me leave a day earlier.

From start to finish, everything was wonderful!!! One thing you need to know about Egypt in general is that people smoke here, but the hotel has such a good ventilation system, that you'd never know it. The ashtrays are cleaned out often, and a nice F (for Fairmont, of course) is raked through their sand. The hotel perimeter and lobby are extremely well taken care of. The entry platform outside, for example, is buffed so you'll never see any trash or dirt, and it is a busy area, because the hotel has several restaurants and a night club. As a welcome present to Egypt (it was my and my friend's first time here), our room was upgraded to a suite for our entire stay at no extra charge. The front desk and concierge staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Christen at the concierge desk especially stands out with very informative and on-point insights. She arranged our daily tours with the best guide, Andrew (who offered thorough historical as well as some local information about every place we visited; and took pictures for us), and the best driver, Mohammed (with over 100K on the odometer, his car looks brand new inside and out, and all our excursions occurred without a single incident -- make sure you ask for the Toyota!). Mohammed doesn't speak much English, but both he and Andrew joined us for lunch a couple of times (our treat), and Andrew makes for a pleasant company. Breakfasts aren't included in the price, but they are worth paying a little extra for. The food selection is amazing, and consists mainly of Egyptian dishes. Coming from New York where many cuisines are widely available, I've never had the pleasure to experience Egyptian food before, and as such, my taste buds were very happy! Food is important to Egyptians, and it's reflected in their cooking. (I'm starting to think I might be Egyptian! :-D) Our server, Peter was very attentive -- we never had to look for him, but he never hovered; he anticipated our every need, AND... each day, he topped my cappuccino with a new design (e.g. heart). There is, of course, 24-hr room service (menu is available through a QR code), and upon placing our order, we were informed of its estimated arrival time. Everything arrived hot and tastefully displayed. The hallways are vacuumed often, the rooms are cleaned well, and small items we left on tables were placed on tissue "stars," which made us feel like stars too! It was a very pleasant touch. All the services were seamless, and the staff never disturbed us. I can't thank everybody enough for making my dream vacation a dream come true. I just hope I tipped everyone well enough as a token of my gratitude. Next stop: Luxor!

Usually in any Muslim country hotels they have their own policy which you expect women with Niqhap very Strict and don’t want anyone to see their body’s and faces without hijab or nighab. I’ve had this problem I went out to get some stuff from shop next minute one of their stupid staff just went in room while my wife was inside luckily she wasn’t in shower or path only had no hijab on. That’s very disrespectful though I’ve told them before no housekeeping unless if we out the hotel. I feel disappointed from this experience I had.

Well I liked the signature room so much, and service at vip lounge , food at breakfast was delicious and service was good but there are some negatives: 1- COVID-19 precautions at breakfast were not enough the restaurant was crowded and with little airing plus guests must always wear their masks near the buffet which didn’t happen. 2- I liked my room but didn’t like the noisy phone outside it which woke us up super early. 3- Saigon dinner’s menu wasn’t the same as the one was sent by email. Service was so slow. So much time between courses.

This is the first time that I came to fairmont, we were 6 couples and we met mr / amr Aziz at reception and he made our reservation and this was our first impression about fairmont , he was very friendly and helpful and very patiant with us bc we came from alexandriaaa and we have a long trip and we were so tired he’s always smiling and talkative person and he gave each couple what he need exaclyyy and we make the membership wz fairmont hotel and he stayed with us like 45 min on the counter and at the end he told us that HE IS THE MANAGER not a receptionist:)))) i hope that all the receptionists in Egypt have his spirit and smiling and always be helpful with guest like him and thx fairmont GM THAT HIRED HIM he’s a professional, his attitude with us make us feeel we r home :) room are fancy , breakfast is nice , view is very good
