Having messaged and emailed to ensure I could call on WhatsApp to call the shuttle, all attempts to contact were ignored and I was left outside Cairo airport for an hour to be continually hassled by Taxi touts before having to pay for a taxi to the hotel. Your staff when I got there and the hotel was fine, but the whole point of booking a hotel on airport with a shuttle was to avoid that!

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Novotel Egypt. Before arriving, I emailed the hotel to inform them that I would be arriving at around 6:00 AM and received a confirmation email regarding my early check-in request. However, when I arrived, I was told that the confirmation email did not necessarily mean my request had been approved. This was both confusing and frustrating, as it completely defeats the purpose of receiving a confirmation in the first place. As transit passengers, we later discovered that the airline may have been able to provide accommodation due to our layover situation. While that may ultimately be the airline's responsibility, when we asked the hotel receptionist about it, we were incorrectly told that no such policy existed. The communication issues continued during breakfast. Before entering the restaurant, we specifically asked the receptionist whether we could have breakfast and were told yes. After serving ourselves and filling our plates, staff informed us that breakfast was not included and that we would need to pay extra. This could have been avoided entirely if we had been given accurate information from the start. Another unpleasant surprise was the room booking itself. I booked what I believed was a double/twin room for two adults, especially considering the room had two separate beds and cost approximately $90 per night. Upon arrival, I was informed that the rate only covered one guest and that I would need to pay an additional $40 for the second person. While this may have been mentioned in the booking details, it felt highly misleading and poor value for money. Overall, my stay was marked by inconsistent information, poor communication, and unexpected charges. The hotel itself may be adequate, but the customer service experience left a lot to be desired.

Convenient location for travelers through Cairo airport. Good breakfast buffet. Rooms were not exactly clean and the air conditioning is very weak.
