Check-in took 1 hour 10 minutes. There was a large number of people waiting to check-in, and only oner person at the check-in desk. Once my turn came, the front desk agent was multi-tasking, responding to multiple issues with other rooms, taking phone calls, changing money for someone, etc. As a result, it took me over 20 minutes to complete my check-in AFTER I had reached the front desk agent! The room was in very poor condition. Even though I had a marked non-smoking room, the room smelled of smoke. The shampoo and shower gel canisters were empty.The carpet was filthy. Next day, I had to call 4 times before the shampoo and shower gel was refilled. The restaurant is severely short-staffed. Food took forever to come. Overall a very poor experience. Not expected from the Novotel brand.

i have reviewed this hotel many times earlier since I am staying there each time I visit Cairo only to get nights to my All membership. However I cannot see any improvements in the hotel for the last 2 years. The main issue in the hotel is that it needs to be renovated badly specially the rooms and the corridors

I am writing to express my frustration regarding the situation that occurred first night. I had already made a reservation, completed the check-in process, and was resting in my room. However, around 11 p.m., I received a call from the hotel claiming that my reservation was not confirmed. This was extremely confusing and disruptive, especially since the hotel’s booking website clearly shows that my reservation is confirmed. I should not have been disturbed at such a late hour for an issue that is not my fault. I would like an explanation of how this happened but the hotel doesn’t recall me. Even when I tried to contact via the booking site, however the hotel hadn’t made it clear and apologized……

Good airport hotel

Stayed here after arrival and before i flew home. Everything was very clean which is not always the case with Cairo. Close to the airport with a pick up and drop off shuttle. I did message the hotel to ask them where to meet the bus but they did not come back to me so i ended up walking. Rooms are clean with a decent size bathroom shower. Internet is good although there were occasional drop outs. Tv is smart and there are a couple of English speaking channels. Bed was fine and there were tea/coffee facilities. I did have the breakfast buffet but personally i wasn't impressed, food was laid out and not covered so was open to the many fly's. I did use the pool area and it was nice to enjoy some sun given back home was freezing. Staff were friendly. I always base my reviews on value for money and given what i paid i feel the hotel was good value. I probably will not come back to Egypt but i would recommend this hotel.
