Summary of My Complaints Regarding the Hotel Experience
My family and I (my wife and son) stayed at the hotel for two nights and three days, starting on October 8. Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing for the following reasons:
1. Poor Kids’ Area Facilities and Service: The Kids’ Area was extremely limited, and access was initially refused without a convincing explanation. Eventually, it was opened after considerable difficulty. I also witnessed another guest complaining about a staff member who claimed that the area was under maintenance, which appeared to be an inconsistent explanation.
2. Kids’ Area Safety Concerns: The glass panels in the Kids’ Area were not adequately marked with visible safety stickers or signs to help children distinguish glass from an open doorway. This creates an unnecessary risk of children accidentally walking into the glass. Proper safety markings should be provided, even when children are under parental supervision.
3. Inconvenient Currency Exchange Service: The currency exchange process was unnecessarily complicated. Guests should be able to exchange money conveniently at the hotel, rather than having to wait for staff to visit a bank or arrange for someone else to exchange the currency. This is not the level of convenience expected from a hotel of this standard.
4. Inconvenient Restaurant Payment Procedures: At the à la carte restaurants, guests were required to settle their bills immediately, even when they were checking out and could reasonably have had the charges added to their room account. This made the dining experience less convenient than it should have been.
5. Unsafe and Uncomfortable Baby Crib: The wooden baby crib provided by the hotel was very inconvenient and uncomfortable. It was difficult for the baby to sleep in, which significantly affected our rest and made the stay more stressful. The hotel should provide a safe, comfortable, and suitable crib for babies.
Overall, my family and I were very dissatisfied with our stay. These issues, particularly the inadequate facilities, safety concerns, and inconvenient services, significantly affected our experience. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it based on this experience.

At 9:47 pm, Mr. Mohammed called via the intercom and insisted that I vacate the room by 10:00 pm. He refused to hear my clarification.
Earlier, when I returned to the hotel, I had obtained approval from the Front Desk to check out at 10:30 pm. I made this request because I was traveling with my 82‑year‑old father, and the Front Desk staff kindly agreed.
Despite this, Mr. Mohammed was unwilling to listen and instead threatened that if I did not vacate by 10:00 pm, I would be charged for an additional day. His tone was unprofessional and caused unnecessary stress during our stay.

The hotel looks dated, and the carpet did not appear clean. The room itself was okay, but I found hair in the toilet and shower, which was disappointing. The lift also felt dated.
I called reception to ask for our luggage to be collected, but no one came. At breakfast, hot drinks were served in paper cups, and the choice of food was limited.
Overall, the stay did not meet the standard I expect from Novotel. The cleanliness, service and breakfast all need improvement.

The loud music was completely unacceptable. An airport hotel is where people have a break and sleep for ongoing journeys. To have this music where many are sleeping is a strange decision.

The shuttle bus will pick you up once you contacted with the number, but note every 30 minutes is from the hotel to the airport i/o from the airport to the hotel. The reception guy is also very friendly, the hotel upgraded my room to a suite. The only problem is the hook of the curtain in my bedroom has fell down, so the curtain cannot be closed completely to affect my sleep. The breakfast is ok. Overall is ok to me.

Greetings.
I made a reservation through your platform for a one-night stay on September 16 at the Novotel Cairo Airport hotel. My wife and I were returning from London after a long and exhausting journey originating from Regina, Canada.
We arrived in Cairo at 12:00 midnight, extremely tired and exhausted. We went to the hotel, paid the reservation amount by credit card, and checked into the room.
Upon entering the room, we noticed the following issues:
1. The shower handle was loose from the hose, causing water to flow out of the hose instead of the showerhead.
2. The shower cabin drain was partially clogged, causing water to pool on the floor.
3. The shampoo dispenser was empty.
4. The conditioner dispenser was empty.
5. The bed sheet and pillow had a noticeable body odor/sweat smell.
6. The landline phone was making a disturbing noise, forcing me to unplug it so we could sleep.
7. The room window needed maintenance to seal and close properly.
8. The view from the window was facing a rooftop with air conditioning units.
I contacted the staff on duty, and they offered to send a maintenance technician. However, I declined due to how tired I was and my desperate need to sleep.
It is the hotel management's responsibility to inspect the rooms and ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness before handing them over to guests, rather than waiting for a guest to point out cleanliness and operational issues and then carrying out maintenance at the expense of their guests' rest and stay.
I kindly ask you to bring this matter to the hotel management's attention and compensate me for the inconvenience.
