Absolutely the worst hotel ever stayed. It was as bad as staying in a local motel. Completely unjustified 4 stars that are given. Very unsanitary. Rooms are disgusting. Bedding was disgusting and not clean. Carpet was as so dirty I couldn’t walk without wearing anything on my feet. Previous guest hair found on the bed and carpet. Fluids in toilet and so on. Had gotten room changed and it was in comparison to the first one, slightly better. Overall a huge disappointment and would never go back to this hotel and I will make sure no one else I know would go as well and suffer the same consequences. Staff are super rude and judgmental. Demanding. Always lazy and just the worst. Even the food was the worst ever to find. Barely survived a food poisoning thanks to god. Only good thing was Mohammed Antar who made a difference to our stay with his goodness. Otherwise it was an utter waste of my money. Sorry for the harsh words because it was really horrible.

This is the third time I think we stay in the Novotel and there is a reason for us returning each time and booking each time: the location is ideal and next to the airport, the shuttle bus that makes transportation hassle free, and the very nice staff. One down side, is the low quality of some of the restaurants.

The whole hotel including the rooms smelled of tobacco. The room was not properly cleaned. The bus shuttle drivers were nice and the staff was nice - this is the only positive point about this experience.

We didn't appreciate the wooden sticks in our room to stir beverages with, instead of teaspoons, the same at the breakfast buffet. Also, at the breakfast buffet, most of the time there weren't proper porcelain cups for tea or coffee, on offer were thin takeaway cups, so thin, 2 cups needed to be used at the same time, not so much for the heat, but because they squeezed inward when holding them. However, we loved the staff, they were so welcoming & we had many a laugh with them.

I arrived late, close to midnight with an early morning flight. I was put in a room that was definitely subpar. Outdated, worn furniture and the bathroom was not comfortable at all. I only had a few hours to sleep so I got ready for bed and decided not to complain. 15 minutes later, there was a knock on the door and the same man who checked me in was asking me to move rooms. I almost declined, but I decided to look. The room he showed me was courtside and was much, much better. Completely updated. So I did move, mostly so I would feel comfortable taking a shower in the morning. Still, very strange for there to be a knock on the door at 12:15 a.m. Breakfast was good, but they wouldn't let me sit where I wanted because I was alone. They wanted me at a two person table even though it was 6:00a.m. and there was only one other couple down there. Probably 20 empty tables with better views. I'm sure it is a policy, but sometimes, you just treat the customer like he belongs there and use the policy later when it gets a little more crowded. Still, I like the courtyard and the airport shuttle was perfect.
